The Heavens and the earth will be dissolved with the great heat of Christ's return, and the NEW heaven and NEW earth will appear. That will be the Kingdom not of this earth. This earth cannot be and will never be that Kingdom.
No. The Spirit of Elijah was the Holy Ghost (as in inspiring him). The Spirit of Elijah was John the Baptist. Says so right there in the Scriptures, and Jesus Himself said it. The same Holy Ghost inspired John that had before inspired Elijah.

The word Peter uses is "dissolved", both the heavens and the earth of this creation. That word means "destroyed".
