Love ya, Q, but gotta disagree about the goodness in humankind. The Bible tells us that our hearts are desperately wicked and without God, our tendencies don't go toward good.

Gen. 6:5

The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.

If our hearts don't tend toward sin, then why did Jesus die on the cross? What did we need saving from if our hearts are good to begin with?

Just look at little kids. You don't have to teach them to be bad. They do that automatically. You teach them to be good.

Easy to reconcile with Revelations. This is the last chance God is giving us to see evil in all its ugly facets. After this strike against evil, it's going to rear it's head again and that will be when we see the events in Revelation unfold.
