This is the real issue that everything else is distracting from. Things were shutting down, stores were shutting down before the pandemic, then they got a boost and a cover from the pandemic and riots. It was already bad, now Trump can use these things by saying its the reason for extremely high unemployment. Things were not good before this, Trump just uses false optimism but knows very well we are headed for a crash like no one has ever seen before.
