You're reading way too much into it. It's probably the level of evil being addressed, that it's "Biblical" because the elites are a body of Satanism and depravity at its worst which is being revealed. The idea is that this isn't merely about elections anymore. It's about an evil cabal, having infiltrated to such a degree it has eroded even the secular ideal and basis of this nation. It's about the very existence of this nation, and since this nation is so intertwined with other nations in terms of the global economy, its downfall would be a worldwide consequence.
The Revelation however is about two bodies of people, two kingdoms, two "churches", one a Bride, the other an adulterous "wife". One is married to Christ and faithful to His Testimony, the other has created a counterfeit system using the name of Christ and led by the False Prophet(s). It isn't about a political turmoil such as we are currently undergoing even though the same root of evil is involved. The things in the Revelation have been unfolding since the time of John the Apostle and onward, and will continue until Christ's bodily return, but what is occurring isn't the focus of the Revelation. The Revelation is about an apostasy dressed as a bride persecuted the true Bride for her Testimony of Christ, the Spirit of all prophecy.
