The footage I saw on the prime-time network news yesterday looked like mid-grade actors in a cheap movie. I have never weighed in on this issue before, knowing I don't have any facts to base an opinion on.
However, yesterday was different or I now view it differently. There were endless quick jump edits, person to person, all being watered down and either rubbing their eyes or someone rubbing a child's eyes. The children looked to be taking cues on how to act.
There wasn't one shot of anyone suffering an adverse chemical reaction or being in true distress. At the end, Mr. Holt said something like 'we apologize to our viewers as some of the images might be distrurbing (or whatever).' The problem was the footage was not disturbing - it wasn't a fifth of what you can find here, which isn't remotely as bad as stuff I've seen elsewhere. The severity of the issue mandates true difficult imagery be shown…with an advisory warning beforehand! I'm sorry, the implications from the accusation this occurred are too serious, and in my opinion, this was nothing but a bad school play. Unconvinced thus far.
