•President Trump’s reelection campaign issued a “memorandum on enthusiasm” Sunday outlining the very “real and wide” gap in enthusiasm between Mr. Trump’s campaign and that of Joe Biden.

•Among his never-die supporters, Mr. Trump is at historic highs for a president seeking reelection while enthusiasm for Mr. Biden is near historic lows.

•And this yawning gap is precisely how Mr. Trump could lose this year’s election. It is not an exaggeration to say that the future of the republic rests on Mr. Trump’s ability to clear away all distractions so that he can devote every waking moment between now and Nov. 3 to getting himself reelected. How does such enthusiasm superiority among Trump supporters hurt Mr. Trump’s reelection campaign, you ask?

Several ways. The first and most obvious way is that it breeds complacency among Trump voters

•The case for Mr. Trump’s reelection is clearly obvious to his supporters. Mr. Trump has a concrete record of economic successes during his first three years in office that would easily get any president reelected. His America-first agenda has a mass appeal that professional politicians in both parties fail to grasp. All this, despite literally billions of dollars in negative press coverage and outright lies from every corner of the Washington establishment.

•Mr. Trump’s fourth year in office has been an unusual one, to say the least. But even that gives his supporters unwarranted reason to be complacent. They see a president in a time of national threat trying to unify the country while his enemies in Washington and in Congress only work to weaponize every tragedy for their own personal political advantage. With dishonest, evil vermin like this against him, how could Mr. Trump NOT win?

To be clear, any such complacency among Trump supporters is badly misplaced. The only difference between 2016 and 2020 is that this time, Democrats, the political media and the so-called “Deep State” now know that Donald Trump can win. This time, there is nothing they will not do to destroy him

•Secondly, the profound lack of enthusiasm among Democratic voters for Mr. Biden this year has a huge silver lining for the former vice president — especially compared with 2016.

•The broad apathy toward Mr. Biden means many Democratic voters don’t exactly love the guy. But that very same apathy also means they don’t hate him, either.

•One of the reasons Mr. Trump was victorious in 2016 is that so many voters — and not just Republican voters — passionately disliked Hillary Clinton. For 25 years, Mrs. Clinton had been the lying spear point of so many nasty political fights in Washington that she had earned great enmity from regular voters in both parties.

•For all of Mr. Biden’s flaws, he is not the lightning rod that Mrs. Clinton was. It may be hard to take the guy serious, but it is also hard to hate him.

•There is a final — and perhaps most powerful reason — why Mr. Trump’s “enthusiasm” advantage could actually hurt him in November.

•Something decides every election. oftentimes, it’s the economy, Stupid. Other times it is security. It can even be personality that determines the outcome of an election.

•The 2020 election is shaping up to be the “Make it stop!” election. •Ardent Trump supporters love Mr. Trump and will walk through fire over broken glass to vote for him. Rabid anti-Trumpers despise the president and will loot and riot through tear gas to vote against him.

•This election will be determined by an altogether different group of voters. These voters don’t particularly like Mr. Trump, but they also aren’t crazy haters. Many of them voted for Mr. Trump in 2016 and are open to doing so again. Today, they see rioters in the streets, smashing store fronts, torching police cars and toppling statues. They are appalled, and they just want it to stop.

Here is where the enthusiasm among Trump supporters undermines Mr. Trump’s effort to get reelected. While you cannot find a single rioter cheering on Mr. Biden’s candidacy (because nobody cares about it), there are plenty of counter-protesters out there who do care passionately about Mr. Trump and they are proud to show that support

•Mr. Trump is widely beloved by many — myself included — because he does not talk or act like a career politician from Washington. But that doesn’t mean losing the next election.

Private Payrolls Estimated To Rise by 2.37 Million in June, May Revised Up By 5.2 Million

U.S. private payrolls increased by 2.369 million in June, the ADP National Employment Report showed on Wednesday.

Data for May was revised up to show a 3.065 million rise in payrolls, instead of the previous estimate of a 2.76 decline.

Economists polled by Econoday had forecast private payrolls increasing by 3.5 million in June.

The ADP report, which is produced with Moody’s Analytics, is published in advance of the government’s more comprehensive monthly report on the employment situation. Last month, ADP showed payrolls shrinking by millions while the government’s report said the economy added 2.5 million jobs.

ADP said small businesses, those with less than 50 employees, added 937,000 jobs in June. Midsized businesses added 559,000. Businesses with 500 or more employees added 873,000.

Manufacturers added 88,000 jobs while miners and drillers shrank by 26,000. Construction firms added 394,000. Leisure and hospitality added 961,000 as bars, restaurants, and hotels reopened for business across the country. Information technology jobs fell by 50,000.

One in Ten Irish Babies Aborted in First Year Since Legalization

Irish women have taken full advantage of the repeal of constitutional protection for unborn babies, with 6,666 abortions performed during the first year of legalization, according to official figures released Tuesday.

During 2019 there were 59,796 live births recorded in Ireland, meaning that more than one in ten (10.5 percent) of known pregnancies (66,837) ended with an abortion, noted Dr. Angelo Bottone in an essay for the Iona Institute Tuesday.

Since 375 women went to England for an abortion in 2019 to take advantage of the UK’s liberal abortion laws, especially regarding the later termination of children with Down syndrome or other disabilities, the total number of Irish abortions in 2019 was 7,041, the highest in Ireland’s history.

According to Dr. Bottone, the number of Irish women opting to terminate their pregnancies increased by some 40 percent with the legalization of abortion. A high estimate suggested that about 5000 Irish women had abortions in 2018, jumping to 7,041 in 2019.

Whereas in 2018, an average of some 8 Irish women per day went to England for abortions, the number for 2019 rose to 20 abortions per day in Ireland.

Ireland’s abortion rate is now higher than Italy’s, Bottone reported, at 6.9 per 1,000 women aged 15-44 as opposed to Italy’s rate of 6 per 1,000.

The new Irish report provides scant data as compared to reports from other countries, Bottone noted, and gives no information about the age, marital status, ethnicity, and number of previous abortions of those procuring abortions in 2019.

Bottone also observes that when the abortion law was discussed in Ireland, pro-life legislators proposed amendments calling for more demographic details in the annual report, a proposal that was rejected. The lack of greater detail, however, makes it very difficult to address the situation of problem pregnancies and how to work to make abortions “rare.”

One key piece of information provided by the report was that just 0.3 percent of abortions involved a risk to the life or health of the mother.

Much more is known about the 2,879 Irish abortions performed in the year 2018, since the UK report furnished much more demographic data than the one produced by the Irish government.

One key fact was that 80 percent of the Irish women who had abortions that year were single and just 18 percent were married, with the remainder either separated, widowed, or divorced, Bottone notes.

Moreover, nearly one in five (17.9 percent) of the women had had a previous abortion.

“One of the slogans of abortion campaigners down the years has been that abortion should be ‘safe, legal and rare’. Does 7,041 strike you as rare?” Bottone concludes.

As Breitbart News reported last month, the Irish government has adopted a radical new program that will create “exclusion zones” around abortion facilities to eliminate pro-life demonstrations, counseling, and even silent prayer vigils.

In a section titled “Protecting Women’s Health,” the text states that government will provide free contraception, enact the “Assisted Human Reproduction” bill, and establish “exclusion zones” around medical facilities, something unique in Europe.

Report: California’s Mistake Led to San Quentin Prison Coronavirus Outbreak

California’s decision to move coronavirus-infected patients from one prison to another allegedly caused a massive outbreak in San Quentin State Prison, which had previously been unaffected by the disease, according to the New York Times.

The story parallels the story of nursing homes in New York, where Gov. Andrew Cuomo required those facilities to accept coronavirus-infected patients — likely exacerbating the virus’s spread among the most vulnerable population.

The Times reported Tuesday:

The coughing and complaints of sickness began as a procession of busloads of prisoners made its way late last month from a Southern California prison to San Quentin, California’s oldest and most widely known prison, perched on a bluff overlooking San Francisco Bay, not far from the Golden Gate Bridge.

The inmates were being moved to San Quentin as part of a plan to halt the spread of the coronavirus by reducing the number of inmates at the California Institution for Men in Chino, where nine inmates had died and nearly 700 had been infected.

At the time, there were no inmates known to have had the virus at San Quentin.

Within days, some of the 121 prisoners from the buses introduced the virus at San Quentin, public health officials say. More than 1,000 of the 3,700 prisoners have since been infected at San Quentin, the foreboding structure surrounded by barbed wire fences and dotted with guard towers that was once famously home to inmates including Charles Manson; Sirhan Sirhan, who assassinated Robert F. Kennedy; and George Jackson, an inmate who wrote “Soledad Brother,” a series of letters from prison.

The inmates were reportedly not tested for coronavirus before being moved into San Quentin.

John Hickenlooper Wins Colorado Senate Democrat Primary Despite Ethics Scandal

Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) won the Colorado Senate Democrat primary, setting up a fight against incumbent Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO).

Hickenlooper was declared the winner of the Colorado Senate Democrat primary after moving towards the primary facing scandal and accusations of ethics violations.

“Thank you, Colorado!” Hickenlooper wrote on Tuesday. “I’m beyond honored to be your Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate. Let’s get to work to beat Cory Gardner, flip the Senate, and bring change to Washington!”

The Colorado Independent Ethics Commission recently slapped Hickenlooper with the highest ethics penalty for his use of a corporate jet and Maserati limo. Hickenlooper was also held in contempt for failing to appear before the ethics commission regarding his ethics violations.

The New York Times reported on Saturday that Hickenlooper’s ethics scandal has complicated Democrats’ strategy for retaking the Senate majority. Gardner is viewed as one of the more vulnerable Senate Republicans during the 2020 elections.

Hickenlooper faced an increasingly competitive primary battle against former Colorado state House speaker Andrew Romanoff, who ran to Hickenlooper’s left. Romanoff had backed the Green New Deal and Medicare for All. Hickenlooper ran as the more moderate candidate who claims that he can work with Republicans.

National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez said in a statement on Tuesday night that Hickenlooper has flouted Colorado ethics laws, thus showing that he is not worthy to represent Colorado in the Senate.

Democrats have recently described Hickenlooper’s controversies as a “hot mess” and a “sh*t show.”

Rodriguez said:

“By selecting John Hickenlooper as their nominee, Democrats put their hopes in a ‘sh–show’ campaign team and the guy who said himself he was “not cut out to be a Senator’,” said NRSC spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Over the next few months, voters are going to learn what Hickenlooper has been hiding – about his disregard for the law, his misuse of taxpayer funds, and all the illegal gifts and travel from his corporate sugar daddies.”

Business Group Complains Trump’s H-1B Reform Is Boosting U.S. Graduates

If President Donald Trump can push his H-1B reforms into 2021, he will dramatically increase the marketplace power of U.S. college graduates, complains a top manager at the Fortune 500 business group the Conference Board.

•“If the [H-1B] suspension continues beyond 2020, recruiting high-quality tech workers could become much more difficult,” wrote Gad Levanon, who heads the group’s Labor Market Institute that has repeatedly recognized that a smaller supply of workers tends to raise wages and salaries.

•Under Forbes‘ headline, “Tech Workers Were Already Hard To Find. The H-1B Visa Suspension Just Made Recruiting Them Even Harder,” Levanon wrote:

•Hundreds of thousands of foreigners will no longer be able to attain work in the U.S. as a result.

•This halt will deal a one-two punch to employers of computer-related occupations, which includes jobs such as software developers and computer systems analysts. First, people in this field receive the overwhelming majority of H-1B visas. Out of the nearly 400,000 H-1B petitions approved in fiscal year 2019, about two-thirds were in that line of work. Most went to software developers.

•Second, computer-related workers are the one group for which the labor market will soon become tight again. When that happens, new foreign workers may be sorely missed.

•Computer experts are “likely to regain their hot commodity status in the next year or two,” he wrote.

•Levanon’s Jue 26 warnings are good news for Americans, said Kevin Lynn, founder of U.S. Tech Workers. “I would do a jig,” because Levanan is admitting that Trump’s reforms are helping American professionals, he said.

•Trump announced the reforms on June 22. His Executive Order blocks the arrival of new H-1Bs this year and ordered a new regulation that would bar CEOs from using the H-1B pipeline to import cheap labor. Currently, 600,000 H-1Bs — and at least 700,000 other visa workers — are used to displace skilled American graduates, to lower career salaries, and to spike stock prices.

•But a shortage of foreign workers also would be good for companies because it will shift CEOs’ focus from cost-cutting to quality improvements, Lynn said, adding:

•They are now engaged in a race to the bottom, and at the bottom is the end of innovation for America. This [reform] will enable them to pull out of that nosedive, and to put quality first …. [and] they will get productivity, and so they’ll win because their business will be live longer.

•They don’t understand this because they are trying to maximize quarterly profits, trying to appeal [to Wall] Street that loves to see employers cut headcounts, to slash wages … instead of raising productivity so stocks can rise because they are building better, more innovative products.

•U.S. graduates helped Trump deliver the reforms, Lynn said, and now they need to help Trump to preserve and push the reforms:

•We know that Trump is under immense pressure to make all kinds of exceptions that would water his [June 22] Executive Order down to meaninglessness.

•The next step is up to the productive class. We need to be bombarding the White House with ‘Thank You’ cards, with Tweets, with emails, for what he has done because this is a first. This is the first time we have gained ground from offshoring and outsourcing.

•For the first time since the 1970s, immigration policy is being crafted to help Americans, not immigrants. We need to be thanking Trump, to build up his resolve against the Koch [brothers] wing of the White House and all of the corporations.

•“What they want to do is ratchet wages so low that they are comparable to wages in India,” Lynn added.

L.A. City Council Passes Motion to Replace Police with ‘Crisis Response’ for ‘Non-violent’ Calls

The Los Angeles City Council passed a motion Tuesday to replace Los Angeles Police Department officers with unarmed “crisis response” personnel to be assigned to “non-violent calls for service” such as “neighbor disputes.”

The motion, introduced by Councilmember Herb Wesson and five colleagues on the 15-member council, would:

INSTRUCT the Chief Legislative Analyst (CLA) and the City Administrative Officer (CAO), with assistance from the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Housing Services Authority and in cooperation with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and other relevant government service providers, to develop an unarmed model of crisis response that would divert non-violent calls for service (mental health crisis, substance abuse, neighbor disputes etc.) away from LAPD to the appropriate non-law enforcement agencies.

INSTRUCT the CLA to analyze and report back on programs utilized both domestically and internationally such as CAHOOTS in Eugene, Oregon as well other models of crisis intervention.

An explanatory paragraph says, in part:

According to the Motion, budget cuts in social services have resulted in law enforcement taking on a greater role in dealing with homelessness, mental health and even COVID-19 related responses. Los Angeles has gone from asking the police to be part of the solution, to being the only solution for problems they should not be called on to solve in the first place. As Los Angeles Country engages in a national conversation on the re-imaging of public safety, the City of Los Angeles should look to be a leader and act boldly to structurally change how it delivers services to its residents, particularly those who have been historically marginalized and neglected. In order to properly service the most vulnerable, the City of Los Angeles should look to advance non-law enforcement solutions in circumstances that are non-criminal.

Local Fox affiliate KTTV noted that Wesson would be “working on the project with members of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles.”

Mayor Eric Garcetti announced earlier this month that the city would be cutting up to $150 million from the LAPD budget — more than 10% of the total — for redistribution in “communities of color.”

Lawsuit: ‘MythBusters’ Star Adam Savage Accused of Raping Sister for Years

Mythbusters co-host Adam Savage has been hit with a lawsuit filed Tuesday alleging that he raped his young sister for years when the two were children in the 1970s.

Miranda Pacchiana alleges that Savage subjected her to years of sexual abuse when she was between the ages of seven and ten when she lived in her family home in Sleepy Hollow, New York, the New York Post reported. “Beginning in or about 1976 and continuing until approximately 1979, Adam Savage, would repeatedly rape Miranda Pacchiana and force oral sex upon her, and forced Miranda to perform oral sex on him, along with other forms of sexual abuse,” said the papers filed in Westchester.

Pacchiana, 51, alleges that Savage, who was between the ages of nine and 12 at the time, named himself the “raping blob” and tried to pass off the abuse as a game between the two.

Pacchiana filed her lawsuit under the New York Child Victims Act, which recently opened a one-year period allowing victims to file lawsuits concerning decades-old accusations that have exceeded the statute of limitations. “The prolific abuse by Mr. Savage as alleged in the Complaint has caused irreparable damage to my client that she will live with for the rest of her life,” Pacchiana’s attorney said in a statement. “Today is the first step in the direction of healing and justice.”

Savage burst onto the scene in 2003, as he and Mythbusters co-host Jamie Hyneman began testing urban legends, often with hilariously explosive results. Savage left the show in 2016, after 14 seasons. Savage also has a popular Youtube channel where he builds props and costumes from popular TV shows and movies.

Pacchiana, now a social worker in Connecticut, has talked of how her accusations of abuse roiled her family.

“When I first disclosed to my family that my brother had abused me as a child, I thought my whole world would change,” she wrote on her blog. “I assumed my family members would share my desire to examine what had gone wrong in our home and pursue a path toward healing together. I was sadly mistaken.”

The 51-year-old music industry veteran, whose group Brand Nubian were popular in hip-hop’s golden era, was asked during a recent interview with Turning Point USA whether he supports the BLM movement, to which he responded: “No. Absolutely not.”

When asked to elaborate on why he doesn’t support the group, Lord Jamar said: “Because this isn’t our movement.

“It’s a movement that was given to us by, you know, George Soros and his f**king boys. Because they saw how things were going and they didn’t want it to go back to the 60s – to where we start having our own, organic movement.”

“That was a big f**king problem for them,” the rapper explains.

“‘So let’s give the people a movement that we can control – we’ll provide them the leaders…’ and all this type of s**t,” he says of the motivation behind controlling such a campaign.

Soros money has been behind the BLM movement for several years now including the early Ferguson riots.

In August 2016 the mysterious “DC Leaks” website posted hacked documents from George Soros’s Open Society.

The documents included information on operations in Latin America, Eurasia, Asia, the US, Europe and the World Bank.

One document revealed Soros paid $650,000 to the Black Lives Matter domestic terrorist movement.

George Soros’s Open Society Institute viewed the 2015 Baltimore unrest following the death of Freddie Gray as opening a “unique opportunity” to create “accountability” for the Baltimore police while aiding activists in reforming the city, according to hacked documents reviewed by Breitbart Jerusalem.

The documents further confirm that the Open Society last year approved $650,000 to “invest in technical assistance and support for the groups at the core of the burgeoning #BlackLivesMatter movement.”

The information was contained in a detailed 69-page Open Society report on the agenda of an Open Society U.S. Programs board meeting held in New York October 1 to October 2, 2015.

The report directly states the Open Society views the Baltimore unrest last year as a crisis that can be utilized to carry out the organization’s agenda.

The document states:

The killing of Freddie Gray in April helped spawn weeks of peaceful protests by Baltimore residents and allies from the #BlackLivesMatter movement that were temporarily interrupted by a period of unrest that lasted less than 48 hours and resulted in some injuries and millions of dollars in property damage to neighborhood businesses. While many lamented the damage done, the overwhelming sentiment is that the uprising has catalyzed a paradigm shift in Baltimore that offers opportunities for major justice reforms.

In particular, recent events offer a unique opportunity to accelerate the dismantling of structural inequality generated and maintained by local law enforcement and to engage residents who have historically been disenfranchised in Baltimore City in shaping and monitoring reform. Building on our existing networks and programs, OSI-Baltimore will focus investments on: 1) creating a culture of accountability for policing in Baltimore, recognizing the pervasive racism, disrespect and lawlessness that gave rise to recent events; and 2) building the capacity of activists in Baltimore to demand and achieve immediate and long-term reforms.
