Renaming the bases probably makes it more difficult to track the shady crap done in them that FOIA requests/declassifications could reveal. Just a hunch.
You wanna explain how any of this is "classified?" How do you know that certain "intel" wasn't declassified for this operation? How do you know if coded acronyms and a new language of communication break classification laws?
