I-93 N is not the ideal route, and its east of where she got busted in Bradford NH by 5-10 miles or so.
If I'm trying to make it out of the US in that area, I'd stick to back roads and avoid any place where US Customs (or any other kind of law enforcement) could nab me.
If you look at the maps in detail, even smaller roads at the border either stop at the border, or run parallel to it it, or have a Customs and Border Protection station at the national line. However, there are a few roads that go thru border towns which cross the lines without any form of customs impediment. One such road is about 60 miles from where she was picked up.
Take a look at East Richford Slide Road, at East Richford NH, about a quarter mile east of Lucas Brook and the US Customs Border Station at the Canadian Border. It weaves over the line, has a short 100 yard path thru woods to train tracks, and about 200 more yards north there is a side road in Canada that doesn't cross the border.
Easy peasy if someone is waiting for you.
