Maybe she was under a no travel order. Not much of a secret she was in MA.
I think some recent event caused her to decide to run, via Canada. That could be the reason for the arrest today.

I lived in the sticks in the US in one life. Not too far from this place, actually. The number of people who were almost definitely in some type of witness protection was mind-bongling. This isn't really too far from where Solzhenitsyn was either.
