Mr Sasakawa’s company is currently engaged in raising treasure, thought to be worth many billions of dollars, from the Societ battle cruiser “Admiral Nakhimov” sunk off the Japanese island of Tsushima 75 years ago, and it is planned to donate all the treasure recovered entirely “to help world peace and to prevent war on a global scale”.
