Regarding the recent words from POTUS and others we thought were patriots saying it's ok to wear the mask/ordering people to wear the mask, it bothers me, but I have this niggling feeling there's something bigger at play.
Suppose for a moment POTUS called bullshit on the masks, and has been quite vocal about it while never stepping in to stop local leaders from implementing these totalitarian decrees. If POTUS suddenly came out and said "That's it! No more masks!" he would get painted as just being contrarian and letting his ego get in the way of "sound" science and "medical advice."
If, however, POTUS plays along, says wear the masks, then someone else with some authority comes out and calls bullshit, then provides medical studies backing up that claim, POTUS could then reasonably say "Well, the medical evidence I've seen shows masks are not effective and/or are harmful to overall health. Therefore, stop mandating masks." without making it seem like he's a contrarian. Yes, the MSDNC shills will try to pin every death and infection afterwards on him. But when POTUS puts out a chronological order of how he supported masks and then didn't only when the science said not to, I think a lot of normies will take his side over the MSDNC.
That's just my two cents.
