Two more arrested in Wendy’s arson following Rayshard Brooks death

ATLANTA — Atlanta Fire and Rescue says it has made two more arrests after protesters burned down the Wendy’s restaurant where Rayshard Brooks was shot and killed by an Atlanta police officer.

 

The department confirmed that John Wade and Chisolm Kingston have both been taken into custody in connection with the June 13 fire. Accused of organizing the protests also.

On Wednesday, Atlanta Fire released photos of two men they said were people of interest in the case.

 

The restaurant was burned to the ground the night following Brooks’ death. Thursday’s arrest brings a total of three people now charged in connection with the fire.

 

Natalie White, 29, surrendered to Atlanta police last week. White is accused of helping to set fire to the Wendy’s. She faces first-degree arson charges.

 

Investigators are still searching for more people involved in this case.
