Q and Anons,

The Gael is beautiful music and Last of the Mahicans a great movie.

Although I'm not Mahican, my great great grandmother was from other Alogonquin tribe

of the North close to their lands.

Many died of disease brought in by the British, Dutch and French. Immune systems couldn't deal with it.

Most of the Alogonquin confederacy started out in the wars that came siding with the French while the Iroqois league sided withe British. Not only did the Natives fight for their choice of foreigner, they suffered brutal attack from the opposing Native tribes.

The tribe of my GG grandma is now nearly extinct.

Sad.

I often wonder what would have happened if all the Native tribes had banded all together. United. Could they have forced out the French and British intruders?

Although they fought passionately, the Indian nations were divided. And they fell. Hard.
