Drove past the family estate where she's supposed to be buried last time I visited England. Was with friends who live nearby in Northamptonshire; they took us to the village pub which is basically about 500 yards from the front door of the Spencer estate. They and all their friends swore up and down that she's NOT buried on that island; that she's buried in the family crypt in the village church of Great Brington. They had to invent the "island" thing to keep that tiny church from being overwhelmed with mourners/tourists. Said all the roads to the village were closed by police the night before her funeral, and the church was lit up brightly inside. Well, yeah, the tomb is a basically a hole in the stone floor with a manhole cover on top.
