Cause what could be considered 'rotting' of the brain. Not sure what the more modern approach to treatment, however there were ethical concerns in studying more on Chimps….. but if it were an ethics issue, I doubt there would be much concern in testing for badactors.
'Modern' science (not available to us) could be making SOME efforts at battling that, but shrug…..
