Fmr. Trump Advisor To Demand Documents Regarding Mueller’s Investigation

President Donald Trump’s former campaign foreign policy advisor Dr. Walid Phares says he will be demanding documents that led to an intrusive investigation into his life during the Department of Justice’s former Special Counsel investigation into the Trump campaign. He first revealed his intentions to request the classified documentation on Thursday’s episode of “The Sara Carter Show” podcast. Last week, The New York Times published what Phares describes as a “smear piece” outlining that in 2017 he was “investigated by the (Robert) Mueller probe” over his alleged ties to the Egyptian government. Phares is just one of five associates to the campaign that were under Mueller’s microscope. That group included Carter Page, Paul Manafort, George Papadopoulos, and Michael Flynn. Although they all had different roles, they were alleged to all have been working for foreign nations to influence an election and an administration.

All five names were mentioned in the memo signed by the then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that allowed for Mueller to probe those individuals, only Phares’ name was redacted in its later public release. “I’m still under shock trying to digest what had happened to me. As you just mentioned. It was revealed to me through an article published by the hit piece, actually by The New York Times, the end of May came to my surprise,” Phares told Carter. “Never heard from them,” Phares explained. “I learned from The New York Times that there was a redacted part of that initial memo that started the Russia investigation that had my name. I didn’t see it yet. So by the way, there I am going to be asking the DOJ to give me that document I want to see. What did they say about me? Imagine, For four years, a U. S citizen has been investigating. Nobody told him. What was it about?”

Phares added that he previously testified in 2017 before the Senate and House Intelligence about the “so-called Russia connection to the Trump campaign.” However, there was never any follow up. Dr. Phares emphasized that he’s consulted the U.S. intelligence community on terrorism threats for decades and that’s probably why he was investigated. He detailed to Carter his history with the U.S. intelligence community. “I have been working with probably about two to 3000 intelligence community analysts on counterterrorism on the threat facing America,” he said. “I served twice as a national security adviser, foreign policy adviser to presidential, you know, candidates. So I was aware and have the knowledge of what was going on in terms of threats against America.” “This was the reason probably there was a party out there which is not still in the under the light that was not very happy with my position with regard to the Iran deal. I’ll talk about that in a second. with my position with regard to the partnership with the Muslim Brotherhood,” he added. “It’s all about foreign policy. Most likely, I was put under this investigation because somebody somewhere some lobby pressured and introduced does against me, which, after investigation authorities found that there was nothing. It was probably prepared by my political enemies..”

Top Barr ally Seth DuCharme under consideration for NY US attorney job

The Justice Department is considering a top official and ally of Attorney General William Barr to replace the outgoing US attorney for the Eastern District of New York, according to a report. Seth DuCharme, who previously built his career as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn-based office, is being considered by department leadership for the top job, according to CNN. DuCharme left EDNY last year to join Justice Department headquarters in Washington, DC, where he served as principal associate deputy attorney general and advised Barr on criminal and national security matters. The principal associate deputy attorney general works with the nation’s 93 US attorneys to bridge communication between them and department headquarters.

The news comes as Richard Donoghue, the US attorney for EDNY, announced Thursday that he was leaving his job for the role currently filled by DuCharme. Donoghue will report to Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen in his new role. Donoghue, also a Barr ally, oversaw the prosecutions and convictions of drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzman and Nxivm sex-cult founder Keith Raniere. Both DuCharme and Donoghue are said to be favorites of the attorney general, who intends to keep them in senior positions within the department, the network reports. The moves come amid tension in the nearby Southern District of New York, where controversy erupted over the firing of former US Attorney Geoffrey Berman. In June, Barr announced that Berman was stepping down and that US Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Jay Clayton would be his successor. Berman refused to resign until the Senate confirmed his successor, and said his office’s investigations would continue. Only after Barr agreed to let Berman’s deputy Audrey Strauss take the reins did Berman agree to step down.

The very public spat led to allegations that Barr was interfering with the independence of one of the country’s most important federal prosecutor’s offices, as Berman was investigating President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani. A Justice Department spokesperson did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

New Pandemic Guidance Bans Singing In Churches

A new set of coronavirus guidelines demands places of worship “Discontinue singing and chanting,” as well as generally discouraging attendance at religious institutions.

On July 1st, California released the new guidelines highlighting the alleged risk of attending houses of worship: “convening in a congregational setting of multiple different households to practice a personal faith carries a relatively higher risk for widespread transmission of the COVID-19 virus, and may result in increased rates of infection, hospitalization, and death.” A new stipulation from the guidelines singles out “singing and chanting” as risking the spread of coronavirus: Places of worship must therefore discontinue singing and chanting activities. The guidance also forces houses of worship to “limit indoor attendance to 25% of building capacity or a maximum of 100 attendees” while “outdoor attendance should be limited naturally through the implementation of strict physical distancing measures.” “We recognize that singing is a challenge,” said Jason Batt, chief operating officer of the Capital Christian Center.

The media has been pushing the anti-church and especially the anti-singing narrative for some time, now. In early June the New York Times led a so-called news article with a particularly graphic hypothetical: Imagine the scene: You’re at church, belting out a hymn, and the sound is so joyful that you turn, smiling, to look around. You notice a spray of spit coming from the mouth of the person next to you: One particularly large droplet arcs toward the person in front, then lands, right on their neck. Singing in church has been a long-standing point of contention during the pandemic, with the Centers for Disease Control removing guidance on its website in May. The Atlantic has also written on the subject, as has the Los Angeles Times newspaper.

Twitter users responded to the news with skepticism of Governor Newsom’s new diktat: “But you can scream…in the face of police officers and conservatives…no problem there,” said one, while others noted Newsom’s own winery was cleared to open: “While bars, beaches, and vineyards are shut down for the 4th, Our Governor’s vineyard, PlumpJack Estate Winery is open and accepting reservations. I guess COVID-19 rules don’t apply to Gavin Newsome [sic].” Another commenter noted: “This is absolute insanity. You had two sets of rules for protesters: One for those who supported reopening and another who rioted. You ignore public health officials who say transmission is occurring in large gatherings in favor or bankrupting businesses and denying freedoms.”

Top ‘Anti-Racist’ Democrat Staffer Tweeted ‘N*GGA’ Over 20 Times, Targeted Asians, Indians, and ‘Super Homo’ LGBT Community

In a blistering display of hypocrisy, a Democratic Congressman’s senior staffer used the n-word over twenty times in the space of four months, as well as sharing a number of other anti-Indian, anti-Asian, and anti-gay slurs. The individual – who refused to comment for this story – has referred to Speaker Nancy Pelosi as “a close personal friend” on social media. Steven Horsford (D-NV4) has repeatedly slammed the Trump administration over what he claims is “racism” or “anti-LGBT” policies. Meanwhile, Shelbie Bostedt, who has served as the two-term African-American Congressman’s Press Secretary since June 2019, has tweeted the word “ngga” or “nggas” over 20 times, as well as tweeting the hashtag “#DirtyMexicans.” Bostedt has mocked Indian accents and taken particular aim at Asians, in a series of tweets dating back to 2013. “THERE IS AN ASIAN BRIGADE IN MCCARRAN. I REPEAT: ASIAN BRIGADE,” she tweeted, and in another racially motivated attack, said of Asian classmates: “There are almost too many stereotypes to count.” Bostedt has also referred to thing with the pejorative use of “gay” and “super homo”.

The Democrat staffer has worked for the left-wing Foreign Policy magazine, the Chicago Tribune, and is currently enrolled in a Master’s programme at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. When contacted for this story, Ms. Bostedt refused to respond and instead set her social media accounts to “private” mode: an arguably odd thing to do for a press secretary. In recent weeks Bostedt has insisted that President Trump is an “overt racist” and tweeted ostensible support of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. Her boss, Rep. Horsford has also been quick to condemn the United States as teeming with institutional racism, even co-sponsoring for a commission to study the phenomenon, perhaps he ought to look at his own office before lecturing the rest of the country. In a 2019 Facebook post, Bostedt referred to Speaker Nancy Pelosi as her “close personal friend” and shared a picture from the Speaker’s private balcony in the U.S. Capitol building.
