No real mention in local paper about 4th of July and our history.

Anons, check your local and next larger city papers. Do you find what I found this afternoon?

Most of what I see pertaining to the 4th are articles pointing out what you can do because there are no fireworks displays in most areas of our state. And that article you can only read if you have a subscription to the paper.

Nothing on why we celebrate or even what to eat on the 4th. No interviews of family who have service members away from home, etc. They are acting as if it doesn't exist…

I've been around multiple decades…this is such a shame.
