let me see? a few of the families run the show and keep the rest of them in pverty and tell them that it is Washington's fault.

that is what I recall having looked into this issue of their constant seeming poverty.

I always love the native-marxist dialog.

they start with the 'great spirit' but then they bring you into the animism, and they want you embrace it if they are good people, but the marxist native doesn't really care about sharing and potlatch, they feel left out of it and they want 'make it native' no matter where they really came from, who was eating who and what part of asia so many of them are really from.

as if the world wasn't big enough.

but they hate you for not being one of the cocoa shades.

so it's OK if your Portuguese or Sicilian becuase they might have that in their family, by marriage.

but if you look like you come from the wrong side of the Channel, where the night club used to be, well . . . you better not be a short blond guy . . . they wil lhate you!

fortunately most people are not marxists, and that includes natives. Many of them are very very successful land owners and business people.

there is no way that the land was large enough for everyone. They all didn't come from the same place. and many of them had only arrive before the ones who came with Columbus, and they were just as hostile, and yet they say 'oh we are native'.

there was no unity, and there was so much open space that no one rule it all.

so what do you suggest, all the ones you imagine showed up too late should just die?
