Despite LA County ban, Lancaster mayor says fireworks show still a go, even if he has to flip switch

As of Thursday, Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris stood firm on his pledge to display fireworks over the city and vowed that the show would be safe.

He did two KFI interviews yesterday I heard. In one of them he indicated he was taking steps to appoint his own city health official so he could permit the fireworks show himself. He was unsure if he could actually do that but he was going to take the steps anyhow. He is pro mask Wich I dislike but at least he is standing up for something unlike most of the state.
