She sounds like she lines up with Culps Views right? Christine Dupre I am an enrolled Cowlitz Indian and Cree descendant and currently live in Portland.
I have strong ties to the nonprofit community in Oregon, having worked as a non-profit leader at the NAYA Family Center during its years of greatest growth, and as a consultant to the National Policy Consensus Center/Oregon Solutions, Native Wellness Institute, LEAD Native Leaders Cohort, KBOO Community Radio, Healthy Democracy, and the American Leadership Forum, and many others. As a facilitator, my work focuses on collaborative leadership, systems leadership, mindfulness, community resiliency, racial justice and cross-cultural humility through relationship building.
I am a popular teacher and educator, most recently recognized for my groundbreaking social justice and race work at the Portland Underground Graduate School (PUGS), where I have taught since PUGS’ beginning its most successful classes.
At the American Leadership Forum, I helped design curriculum led by a multi-cultural training team that presents solutions to problems caused by privilege, prejudice, discrimination, and oppression. My happiest moments as a facilitator are when people build binding relationships across their difference and act together for positive change. People can do this when they are supported and willing to explore their differences, and to speak into difficult issues in deep and meaningful ways.
I have a masters and PH.D. from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts and Sciences.
I am also a trained mediator with Resolution Northwest (ongoing), a student of the Human Systems Dynamic Institute (HSDI), a certified language and cultural teacher in Washington State for Native Cultures, and a skilled navigator of the human heart and mind.
When not busy building community, you can find me writing, discovering Native edibles, hiking, camping, and kayaking on the Columbia Slough. WE MUST SPREAD THIS
