When the Deep State peddles drugs it isn't just trying to screw up a population's brains. It's making money. Everyone from the Taliban to the cartels to alphabet soup agencies makes bank on selling drugs.
When we screw up their trade routes or make supply lines impossible, we starve them for cash. They rely on that money and cutting it off makes them more and more desperate and weakened.
