Happy 4th
I hope you all had a good Independence Day with your family. Ours was heartening for several reasons. This morning we hiked around a local reservoir where we encountered lots of other hikers. They were all happy and friendly, with lots of “happy Fourth” greetings. As we drove into our subdivision, we counted 18 American flags. Then, when My wife walked by a neighbor’s house, where there was an obvious family reunion happening, she heard the whole crowd singing the National Anthem. Altogether, these events were so far removed from the raging hatred and anti-American displays we see continually. It was good.
