the tiles in the image are 3 colors

I separated them into 3 numbered sequences 1,2,3

3, or the darkest tiles, I removed since there were exactly 16 of them (there are 8 bits in a byte sequence, so it seemed unlikely exactly 2 byte sequences would line up perfectly with a number of tiles)

after doing that, I removed those 16 bytes and with the remaining 1's and 2's, mapped them out and converted them to numerical values

then I discovered dead-center in the middle of those 2 numerical sequences was a set of 8 bytes valued at 0

I removed that and converted the binary to decimal form

from the decimal form, i created hashes of what remained.

I split them in pairs and then all together

I only converted to sha1, sha256 and md5 because those are the most commonly used hashing techniques even though md5 is flawed and not supposed to be used anymore.

Then I tried all combinations as a password against the image using steghide (a steganography script) and failed on all attempts.

I'm fairly certain there is a message in the image. it has the indicators, otherwise I'd abandon trying.
