The law still applies but we are no longer under the law, our sins have been paid for. That is one of the problems that the ancient Jews were guilty of, they pretended to obey the letter of the law but failed to obey its intent. Don't get hung up on legalism. it's what's in your heart that counts. Do you do things to please God or not? Why was Abels offering accepted and Cains was not?
