EXT- DUSK, CITY OUSTKIRTS
We see a wide shot of a city-scape, the glass behemoths dark against a gradient sky. People are gathering outside in drives, escaping the stuffy innards of silent building's to seek fresh air. Teens can be seen tossing their darkened cellphones into the frothy sea. Vehicles that were once full of life sit as empty shells, scattered about the roadway. Multiple crowds follow swarms of black dots in the sky that light up and coalesce once the last rays of the sun vanish from the sky. The lights form neat rectangles, tilted towards the awe-struck audience as colors start to form in the shape of the President of the United States. Audio starts to play the Star Spangled Banner. When it ends, even the crickets stay silent to hear the next words.
