Real story…

Person gets covid test that comes back negative.

A couple of days later the person comes down with some kind of bug = low grade fever and other minor symptoms.

Spoke to doc over phone who said they were going to treat like patient had covid (which test showed was negative)

After close to a week, only a slight change in coondition.

Finally person goes to emergency room. Gets x-rays and a few other tests but nothing for covid. Nonetheless, the doctor tells person that they are going to assume they have covid and sent them home.

When did the medicine get into the assuming business? I thought they were aiming for accuracy? No wonder the numbers keep going up. Doctors keep assuming patients have something that they may not have.
