There is an illusion of choice when it comes to the media, no matter where you are on the political spectrum.
4 media Giants (Comcast, AT&T, Disney, and CBS Viacom) control 90% of the US media. It should be clear that these 4 corporations all have the same ideologies loaded with bias. They use the news as political propaganda instead of being independent and trustworthy. They make fiction become fact and fact become fiction.
How can the average person who is balancing financial stress, work, hobbies, and family find the time to research and discern fact from fiction? They can’t, and the majority of people will put their trust in legacy media and the reporters. The human psyche guides a majority of people down the mainstream viewpoint because they fear being isolated, shunned, or even labeled a “conspiracy theorist”.
Mainstream news outlets are used to dominate trends of opinion, hints the same keywords or catch phrases we always hear. We are more likely to believe something if we hear it over-and-over again, by different sources. These echo chamber tactics being used against us are a threat to our intellectual freedom. Institutions and organizations allow/coordinate the mass control of population's viewpoints. When these entities control the levers of news dissemination, they control the narrative. Real power ultimately does not lie with great armies but with the control of the narrative (arguably greater than the control of the central banking system). They pit us against each other. Divide us by religion, sex, political affiliation and by class. Why? Because when we are divided and bitter, we target our energy at those different from us, thus lessening the threat to their control.
Those attempting to control the narrative do not want non-dogmatic information to be free and transparent. When you are awake, you stand outside of groupthink and have free thought. When using free thought, the truth is formed on the basis of logic, reason, and experimentation. Collectively, we need to begin to question the narrative and stop blindly following authority, traditions, and dogmas. The war on our minds is real!
