U.N. Scolds U.S. for Deadly Strike on Iran Terror Leader Soleimani

He’s still dead UN, we have a picture of his fingers, so get to fuck over and get too fuck out of country and taking our money. The UN are terrorists extracting money from countries that incite evil. Just STFU already, your days are numbered

The deadly January U.S. drone strike that eliminated Iran’s terror commander Qasem Soleimani and nine other people was a violation of international law, a U.N. human rights investigator claimed Monday.

The United States has failed to provide sufficient evidence of an ongoing or imminent attack against its interests to justify the strike on General Soleimani’s convoy as it left Baghdad airport, lamented U.N. special rapporteur Agnes Callamard a full six months after the event.

The attack violated the U.N. Charter, Callamard alleged in a report calling for accountability for targeted killings by armed drones and for greater regulation of the weapons.

“The world is at a critical time, and possible tipping point, when it comes to the use of drones. … The Security Council is missing in action; the international community, willingly or not, stands largely silent,” Callamard, an independent investigator, told Reuters.

Soleimani directed Iranian military operations abroad, including terror strikes in third party states. Just one week before his death, he is thought to have directed rocket attacks that killed an American civilian contractor in Iraq.

Last year, President Donald Trump designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds force as a terrorist organization and the action against Soleimani, as its leader, was a logical continuation of that definition.

Even so, Callamard expressed her disatisfaction that the U.S. could move against a man.

“Major General Soleimani was in charge of Iran military strategy, and actions, in Syria and Iraq. But absent an actual imminent threat to life, the course of action taken by the U.S. was unlawful,” Callamard wrote in the report.

Iran has since issued an arrest warrant for U.S. President Donald Trump and 35 others over Soleimani’s killing and has asked Interpol for help, as Breitbart News reported.

Lobbying Firm Tied to Hunter Biden, Burisma Received PPP Loan

Yep, just as I thought the ppp list was released to reveal the cheaters

A lobbying and public relations firm tied to Hunter Biden, the youngest son of former Vice President Joe Biden, and the Ukrainian natural gas conglomerate Burisma Holdings, were the beneficiaries of a coronavirus relief loan from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

Blue Star Strategies, which at one time was hired by Burisma to help the company push back against allegations of public corruption, received a loan from the program for between $150,000 and $350,000, according to PPP funding disbursement data made public on Monday.

The revelations come as Blue Star has been subpoenaed by the Senate Homeland Security Committee as part of an ongoing probe into Biden and Burisma. Blue Star became ensnared in the investigation last year when a Freedom of Information Act request revealed representatives of the firm had invoked Biden when trying to secure a meeting with the Obama-era State Department in 2016 to discuss corruption allegations against Burisma. At the time, Biden was a member of Burima’s board of directors and has been linked by the New York Times to the company’s hiring of Blue Star.

The younger Biden joined Burisma’s board in April 2014, around the same time his father was tapped to be the Obama administration’s point man on Ukraine. Despite having no background in either eastern Europe or the energy industry, Biden was paid as much $83,000-per-month for his services.

Adding to concerns was that he joined the natural gas company at a time when it was actively courting western leaders to prevent scrutiny of its business practices. The same month as the appointment, Mykola Zlochevsky, Burisma’s founder, had his assets frozen in the United Kingdom on suspicion of money laundering.

A Ukrainian official with ties to Zlochevsky admitted in October 2019 the only reason Biden was tapped to join Burisma’s board was to “protect” the company from foreign scrutiny.

It is in the context of Burisma and Zlochevsky’s legal troubles that Joe Biden’s influence has raised red flags. The former vice president has particularly drawn questions over his conduct in demanding the Ukrainian government fire its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in 2016. The demand for Shokin’s ouster was tied to more than $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees.

Company Connected to Pelosi’s Husband Scored Coronavirus Bailout

More proof of corruption

A company connected to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband received a loan from the Trump administration’s $669 billion Paycheck Protection Program, a Small Business Administration-led fund designed to provide financial relief to businesses in the wake of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

Bloomberg News first reported:

Nancy Pelosi’s spokesman described Paul Pelosi as an investor in the firm, which turned up in loan-level disclosures for the program that were released Monday by the Treasury Department and Small Business Administration. […]

EDI Associates is listed as a recipient of a loan between $350,000 and $1 million. The same company was listed in Nancy Pelosi’s latest House financial disclosure report filed in May 2019, for the year 2018. […]

EDI Associates is listed in Pelosi’s disclosure form as located in Sonoma, California. It’s identified as a limited partnership with an investment in the El Dorado Hotel. The value of the asset on the form — identified as belonging to Pelosi’s spouse — is listed as between $250,001 and $500,000.

“He’s an investor. So, he was not aware the loan was applied for,” Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, said in a statement to the business news outlet.

The revelation comes after Pelosi criticized the Trump administration’s handling of the PPP program.

The Trump administration’s concealment of PPP loan data was a disturbing sign of its complete indifference to ensuring that Paycheck Protection Program funds go first and foremost to the most vulnerable small businesses on Main Street. Its reversal is an overdue step toward securing the transparency needed to ensure struggling small businesses, particularly minority, women and veteran-owned businesses, are getting the vital assistance they need to survive and retain their workers.

The government on Monday identified roughly 650,000 mostly small businesses and nonprofits that received taxpayer money from a program that likely helped prevent the job market meltdown from growing worse but that also benefited some politically connected firms.

Recipients covered a broad swath of industries, with some that were less directly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, such as manufacturing and construction, receiving a greater proportion of the loans than the hard-hit restaurant, bar, and hotel industries. Many law firms and private equity companies also obtained loans.

Businesses owned by politicians also borrowed from the Treasury Department’s Payroll Protection Program, including a minor league baseball team owned by the family of the governor of Ohio. A large franchisee of Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut restaurants, whose CEO is a major donor to President Donald Trump, received loans totaling between $15 and $30 million.

The program launched April 3 and as of June 30 had handed out $521 billion. Treasury identified just a fraction of the total borrowers Monday, naming only those companies that got more than $150,000. Those firms made up less than 15% of the nearly five million small companies and organizations that received loans.

Media Matters Took In up to $2 Million in Small Business Relief Loans

Holy shit, this is the worst, does anyone think the DOJ is going to after these companies. Maybe they were relying on the hive mind and the public to find all the cheaters

Media Matters for America, the George Soros-funded left-wing nonprofit organization, received between $1 million and $2 million in loans under the federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), according to Treasury Department data released Monday.

The loan money, intended to provide relief to small businesses that were shuttered because of the coronavirus pandemic, was approved for Media Matters by Bank of America on April 29, after the progressive outlet criticized the Trump administration for its handling of the rescue funds, suggesting the administration would not seek “enough to do the job.”

Politically-affiliated nonprofits benefiting from the small business loans, which were created as part of the CARES Act and lent $521 billion through June 30, came to light in April, as Breitbart News reported, after several groups such as state affiliates of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Congressional Progressive Caucus Center filed applications for the loans. Treasury data has so far revealed that branches of the ACLU in Texas, Montana, and North Carolina borrowed between $150,000 and $350,000.

“The PPP is providing much-needed relief to millions of American small businesses, supporting more than 51 million jobs and over 80 percent of all small business employees, who are the drivers of economic growth in our country,” said Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

Critics have pointed to a conflict of interest for groups with political motivations — such as the progressive Media Matters, which has received funding from prominent liberal donors like Soros — pocketing the taxpayer-funded relief money. Media Matters founder David Brock also founded the super PAC American Bridge 21st Century, for example, which funded in key swing states advertisements attacking President Donald Trump’s “incompetency” in his handling of the coronavirus crisis.

Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Jovita Carranza emphasized the benefits of the paycheck relief program, saying, “In three months, this Administration was able to act quickly to get funding into the hands of those who faced enormous obstacles as a result of the pandemic.”

Although a variety of hard-hit industries from health care to hospitality were able to benefit from the funding, Media Matters received a higher-than-average loan, with the average being $100,000, according to Mnuchin.

The loans provided through the PPP will be forgiven so long as the money is directed toward payroll — with the stipulation that employees are retained or quickly rehired, and salary levels are maintained — and interest on mortgages, rent, and utilities, according to the SBA.

REPORT: Trump Administration Narrows Investigation Into Russian Bounty Leaks To 10 Individuals

yay, find the traitors

The Trump administration is narrowing its investigation of administration officials who could have potentially leaked information to the New York Times and Associated Press regarding alleged Russian bounties paid for the killings of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

The search has focused on less than 10 potential suspects with access to the information contained in the original reports, according to Politico. (RELATED: US Intelligence Says Leak Of Russian Bounty Story Was ‘A Crime,’ Jeopardized Investigation)

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, Central Intelligence Agency Director Gina Haspell and Secretary of State of State Mike Pompeo all criticized the leaks for compromising investigations into the alleged bounties themselves.

McEnany argued at a recent White House press briefing that the intelligence community would likely not be able to reach a consensus on the veracity of the intelligence as Russia will likely move to amplify the public reports to sow discord within the United States.

When asked if the “intelligence does turn out to be true,” she did respond that “this president is prepared to act and will always act with in protecting our American troops.”

“U.S. and coalition force protection is a critical priority for both the President and the intelligence community,” Ratcliffe added in a similar statement. “The selective leaking of any classified information disrupts the vital intelligence work to collect, assess, and mitigate threats and places our forces at risk. It is also, simply put, a crime.”

“We are still investigating the alleged intelligence referenced in recent media reporting and we will brief the President and Congressional leaders at the appropriate time. This is the analytic process working the way it should,” he continued. “Unfortunately, unauthorized disclosures now jeopardize our ability to ever find out the full story with respect to these allegations.”

Neither the National Security Council nor the Office of the Director of National Intelligence responded to Daily Caller’s inquiries on the subject by press time.

Chuck Grassley To Skip Republican National Convention For First Time In 40 Years Due To ‘Virus Situation

Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley will not attend the Republican Nation Convention in August, skipping it for the first time in forty years due to concerns of coronavirus.

“I’m not going to go. And I’m not going to go because of the virus situation,” Grassley said Monday on a phone call with reporters, according to the Des Moines Register.

“Going to a place where the governor feels that it’s safer is probably the right thing to do if you want to have a convention,” Grassley continued. “And I think we should have a convention, but I think you should do whatever you can to make it as safe as possible so that would mean with face masks and with social distancing.”

“There’s generally a rule that if you’re six feet apart you don’t have to wear a mask, but I think doing both makes common sense and I’m going to encourage people to do both,” Grassley added, according to the Des Moines Register.

The Daily Caller asked the Republican National Committee (RNC) about Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry’s mask order in which he announced on June 29. The order would require masks to be worn inside. The announcement comes after other cities in Florida, such as Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Orange County have made it mandatory to wear a mask.

“The RNC is committed to holding a safe convention that fully complies with local health regulations in place at the time. The event is still two months away, and we are planning to offer health precautions including but not limited to temperature checks, available PPE, aggressive sanitizing protocols, and available COVID-19 testing,” RNC spokesperson Steve Guest told the Daily Caller.

Newsom Triggered When Constituent Asks Why His Business, Plumpjack Winery, Received COVID Relief Loan

Seriously this rich asshole got a loan. BTW the name of his winery is Plumpjack, did he name it after his dick?

According to records released Monday, Plumpjack Winery, a company founded and partly owned by California Governor Gavin Newsom (D), received a loan worth $150,000 to $350,000 from the COVID relief loan program dubbed “Paycheck Protection Program.”

The crazed Democrat governor however was not too happy when a mere prole asked him about PPP money going to at least one of his businesses.

Newsom’s body language and tone of voice says it all.

“You would have to ask the people that are running those businesses. It’s in a blind trust. Period. Full stop,” Newsom said.

Not only did Newsom’s winery receive a forgivable COVID relief loan, it is still open for business after the crazed Democrat imposed a second lockdown for over 25 counties across California!

Newsom last week shut down wineries, indoor dining, movie theaters, museums and zoos in 19 counties across the state.

Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and Orange County last Wednesday were ordered to close indoor operations at restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, zoos and museums.

Newsom forced 6 additional counties to close down their businesses on Monday!

However, Newsom’s winery, Plumpjack Winery was open for the 4th of July weekend and continues to book tastings as the governor shuts down his competition.

Has there been another mutiny in Trump’s White House, as Obama’s former ambassador to Russia piles on the nonsense about Trump being in Putin’s pocket?By Ray McGovern

Corporate media are binging on leaked Kool Aid not unlike the WMD concoction they offered 18 years ago to “justify” the U.S.-UK war of aggression on Iraq.

•Now Michael McFaul, ambassador to Russia under President Obama, has been enlisted by The Washington Post’s editorial page honcho, Fred Hiatt, to draw on his expertise (read, incurable Russophobia) to help stick President Donald Trump back into “Putin’s pocket.” (This has become increasingly urgent as the canard of “Russiagate” — including the linchpin claim that Russia hacked the DNC — lies gasping for air.)

•In an oped on Thursday McFaul presented a long list of Vladimir Putin’s alleged crimes, offering a more ostensibly sophisticated version of amateur Russian specialist, Rep. Jason Crow’s (D-CO) claim that: “Vladimir Putin wakes up every morning and goes to bed every night trying to figure out how to destroy American democracy.”

•McFaul had — well, let’s call it an undistinguished career in Moscow. He arrived with a huge chip on his shoulder and proceeded to alienate just about all his hosts, save for the rabidly anti-Putin folks he openly and proudly cultivated. In a sense, McFaul became the epitome of what Henry Wooton described as the role of ambassador — “an honest man sent to lie abroad for the good of his country.” What should not be so readily accepted is an ambassador who comes back home and just can’t stop misleading.

•Not to doubt McFaul’s ulterior motives; one must assume him to be an “honest man” — however misguided, in my opinion. He seems to be a disciple of the James Clapper-Curtis LeMay-Joe McCarthy School of Russian Analysis.

•Clapper, a graduate summa cum laude, certainly had the Russians pegged! Clapper was allowed to stay as Barack Obama’s director of national intelligence for three and a half years after perjuring himself in formal Senate testimony (on NSA’s illegal eavesdropping). On May 28, 2017 Clapper told NBC’s Chuck Todd about “the historical practices of the Russians, who typically, are almost genetically driven to co-opt, penetrate, gain favor, whatever, which is a typical Russian technique.”

Does no one see the irony today in the Democrats’ bashing Trump on Afghanistan, with the full support of the Establishment media? The inevitable defeat there is one of the few demonstrable disasters not attributable directly to Trump, but you would not know that from the media. Are the uncorroborated reports of Russian bounties to kill U.S. troops aimed at making it appear that Trump, unable to stand up to Putin, let the Russians drive the rest of U.S. troops out of Afghanistan?

•Does the current flap bespeak some kind of “Mutiny on the Bounties,” so to speak, by a leaker aping Eric Chiaramella? Recall that the Democrats lionized the CIA official seconded to Trump’s national security council as a “whistleblower” and proceeded to impeach Trump after Chiaramella leaked information on Trump’s telephone call with the president of Ukraine. Far from being held to account, Chiaramella is probably expecting an influential job if his patron, Joe Biden, is elected president. Has there been another mutiny in Trump’s White House?

•And what does one make of the spectacle of Crow teaming up with Rep. Liz Cheney (R, WY) to restrict Trump’s planned pull-out of troops from Afghanistan, which The Los Angeles Times reports has now been blocked until after the election?

Hiatt & McFaul: Caveat Editor

•And who published McFaul’s oped? Fred Hiatt, Washington Post editorial page editor for the past 20 years, who has a long record of listening to the whispers of anonymous intelligence sources and submerging/drowning the subjunctive mood with flat fact. This was the case with the (non-existent) weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before the U.S.-UK attack. Readers of the Post were sure there were tons of WMD in Iraq. That Hiatt has invited McFaul on stage should come as no surprise.

•At this word of wisdom, Consortium News founder, the late Robert Parry, offered this comment: “Yes, that is a common principle of journalism, that if something isn’t real, we’re not supposed to confidently declare that it is.” That Hiatt is still in that job speaks volumes.

‘Uncorroborated, Contradicted, or Even Non-Existent’

•It is sad to have to remind folks 18 years later that the “intelligence” on WMD in Iraq was not “mistaken;” it was fraudulent from the get-go. The culprits were finally exposed but never held to account.
