There's some 4d chess involved in all this, that's for certain. Already posted my theory before, and going to leave it at that. Let's put it another way, some of these old "monuments" that hat tip to a painful time in our nation's past will remain torn down, and the Conferderate flag, 150+ years past it's relevance, is going to fade into irrelevancy moving forward.
There should be museums stood up for this stuff, no doubt. Having said that, no one has any real reason to fly that flag anymore. Q and team have already made it abundantly clear their view of the cause/purpose/end of the civil war. That view has a bit of rose tinge in the glasses, but I think people are willing to accept that as long as we can get back to some fucking normalcy around here.
What they are doing seems like it'll work out quite nicely, actually.
