The thing is, we've always had "absentee" ballots here, which are "mailed in" but now they are talking about all votes being mailed in. That opens an entirely new scenario, and not a good one because votes have to be tallied as they come in over time and that leaves a lot of room for cheating. Even early voting is problematic, I think, but we've edged that more and more into the process.

This and a national registry as well. No register, no votey. There was a man-on-the-street video asking people if they had government-issued ID on them or at home. They all said yes. Asked if they felt that it was disenfranchising for them to be asked to show that ID when they voted. The people looked at the questioner as though he was a martin. Good stuff, anon, and thanks for sharing. The problem with the SDNY is that it's been corrupt for decades (see the Showtime series BILLIONS for a good glimpse into how things are run there) and the judges are often compromised and forced to pick up, recuse from, and drop cases they are assigned by the DA. I think we'll see a lot of shifting with GM, and I'm still thinking she's going to head into WitSac before the day is done. But I don't know how realistic that is after she's already been arrested. Still, deals are being made, you can count on that.
