No it works exactly the opposite: You need to use the filter when you are certain someone is getting in your way.
Hint: Don't be too quick. I have hampered myself as a result of my own ignorance by filtering people who were way ahead of me.

I am not seeing any unusual missing post evidence. Just the normal amount of deletions along the way for this entire thread.
I think the anon who is worried about missing posts either needs to clear his filter or his cache, or just does not know what to look for.
something is wrong on your end, anon – the quantity of missing posts is normal for 8 chan.
People delete them, sometimes the mods delete them, and sometimes the admins.
When I have been banned almost always unjustifiably, my posts in that thread have all been deleted.
That is likely what happened here.
