I have a few ideas for technology that may help LE safely do their job and prevent scenarios where excessive force is used.

1) Have shock probes built into handcuffs. The officer could activate with remote if the person resist arrest or tries to flee.

2) Sometimes people who are arrested are incapacitated due to drunkenness or drugs or refuse to move once handcuffed. There should be some sort of portable trolley with wheels an officer can use to wheel the suspect into the vehicle if they have no assistance. Something like a T bar that slides behind the arms of the suspect which has a hand on back and wheels on bottom.

3) Mace tape - A special round for a mace gun should be designed where the round consists of a ball of thin tape (about 1/4” in width) which is very sticky and also contains a weight at one end and is covered in mace. The way it works is when the mace tape round makes contact, it sticks and rolls out onto a surface and releases mace.

If a suspect is running away and the officer is chasing them the officer could fire the mace gun at the suspects shoulder area and the mace round would hit the shoulder and stick then unroll around the shoulder and also stick to the chest side of the suspect thus ensuring the mace is breathed in to stop the suspect. The mace tape round would have to be designed a certain way to ensure the weight slings the tape to the front of the running suspect.

I believe these ideas would make the job of law enforcement easier and prevent the need for chokeholds etc and lessen the amount of escalations.

Any inventors out there? Have at it. There is definitely a market for these sorts of things.
