Re: the 2 cases the SC ruled on today, there are separate cases. The were both sent back down to the lower courts.

Case 1. It has to do with Trump's tax returns. The SC said for President Trump to argue this case as if he is a common citizen, not as a President. Note: The SC did not say he MUST give his tax returns, but his lawyers lose the argument.

Case 2. It has to do with Congressional (House) committees subpoenas for all kinds of papers. The SC said it is a division of powers case. The House must prove they need these papers for legitimate legislative reasons (which the House has not done at this point).

 

Anon sees this as a big WIN. Case 1 makes it a common citizen matter. (Kavanaugh said the President is not above the law, but not below it either. He has citizen rights). WIN because this case pits the courts against the common citizen, we the people.

 

The second case is a win because Pelosi, Nadler, Schiff et al. have been put on the hot seat. They must do something that is impossible to do: prove that this is not an outrageous political coup attempt.
