If anons are bored, here is a story on some digging anons have been doing.
THE USE OF THAMES TIDE DATA AND THE LUNAR PHASE TO APPROXIMATE THE DATE OF NSA TRAFFIC CAM ROT1 AND ASSOCIATED PICTURES:
This is only the current state of the dig and best estimate of the date of the London Q pics along Victoria Embankment. From ROT1 we were able to find that the restaurant ship RS HISPANIOLA sits at a quite high tide relative to her semi-permanent mooring. In fact, we were not able to find any pictures of her at a higher tide. We obtained the actual measured tides taken by the London Port Authority from the tide gauge station at the London Tower Pier. Our target search timeframe for this data was limited to between October 2013 and March 2014.
Why not Winter 2015/2016? After all most anon think that is when all those London surveillance pics were taken. That is wrong. But sticking only to the NSA traffic cams and Corinthia Hotel pics, an anon found a traffic “bollard” in one of the CH pics that was removed in March 2014 due to a fatal motorcycle accident. They changed the type of sign to a less substantial collapsible sign after that. We then focused on Winter 2013/2014. Back to ROT1. Having the tide data, we could only limit the possible dates of the Q pic by zeroing in on high tides occurring after business hours for PS TATTERSHALL CASTLE (seen in the LisaMI6.png pic) and for RS HISPANIOLA. Both ships appear darkened compared with many evening pics of the ships during business hours.
An attempt was made to try to identify a grouping of stars we were able to bring out by enhancing NSA TrafCamLONDON2847 was unsuccessful. The possiblility that it could be the Orion constellation was put in doubt by the possibility of air traffic to the South for Heathrow airport. Also, in trying to use Stellarium by an anon, we could not make the suspected Orion’s belt orient horizontally with the horizon. That having failed, we discovered what appears to be the Moon behind London Eye in the ROT1 pic. Our Moon object even appeared to have a Moon shape to it -a particular shape of lunar phase called “Waning Gibbous”.
Lunar phases do not apoear the same for very long, so it was hoped that we could look up the dates during each of our target Winter months. That was done using a free site that allows you to view what the Moon would look like back in 2013/2014 or whatever. Got some possible matches for each month. Some months had 2 days per month that could be a match, due to the poor resolution to be gotten from ROT1. So now, could we match the high tide confirmed in ROT1? We found 4 possible months with one of them having a couple of days to match the lunar phase.
February and March had no matches for tide/lunar phase.
OCTOBER 23, 2013 is our current suspect due to the Stellarium hit for the Moon being in the Southern horizon of London at a direction of SSE at 2300hrs which is when the PS TATTERSHALL CASTLE closes.
