Made a slide earlier with whether I should hoard cash or buy hard asset.

Buy is decent, but pricey (lots of work went into it, which should be compensated).
Anon doesn't mind spending the dough, but the controversy brings up some points.
Everyone should provide for safety first. Anon is good with that. Have land, food, PMs, lead, and weapons taken care of. This is just cash vs assets which may appreciate while being fun to play with.
Anon's theory is that a $50K newer car will just sit there and depreciate, while a $20k classic will just go up in value while it's parked. Every mile driven on a new car drives down the resale price, while a mile driven on the classic just adds another mile to the history.
Yeah, there's maintenance, but it seems like driving an old car makes money while new cars are designed to lose money. (Not even mentioning the cost of maintenance parts like a $50 starter vs a $400 starter, $1K shocks (not kidding…that's just one axle), and $700 front rotors on muh new ride)
Anon hates all this new shit. Just give me a vacuum gauge to tune the carb, a tach to make it seem fancy, and a good supply of non-ethanol gas to keep things running smooth. (POTUS let us down on that part)
