Where the Hell Is John Durham?

Trump has every right to be enraged that four years after Barack Obama’s top henchmen concocted and executed the biggest political scandal of all time, not one person has been held criminally responsible while trials against his associates drag on.

By Julie Kelly • July 9, 2020

"In May 2019, Attorney General William Barr made an announcement millions of Americans had been waiting for: A U.S. attorney outside the Beltway would investigate the corrupt origins of the FBI’s probe into Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and government efforts to sabotage the incoming president after he was elected.

For the past 14 months, we have been waiting (impatiently, I confess) for news from John Durham, the Connecticut prosecutor Barr tapped to lead the long-delayed inquiry. After all, by the time the attorney general initiated the targeted probe, there was plenty of evidence of wrongdoing by top officials in the Obama Administration, including James Comey, John Brennan, and Andrew McCabe among others. Special Counsel Robert Mueller had wrapped up his two-year partisan witch hunt and despite unlimited resources—along with the unflinching support of Republicans on Capitol Hill—Barack Obama’s former FBI director could find no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

But Mueller did plenty of damage in the interim. Just weeks after his May 2017 appointment, Mueller started rounding up Trump associates: George Papadopoulos was arrested at Dulles Airport in July 2017 on a concocted charge. A few months later, Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign manager, was arrested; Lt. General Michael Flynn finally relented to a plea deal for which he still hasn’t been sentenced. (The judge in the case is refusing to drop the charges against Flynn, per the government’s request.) All that and more happened within the first six months of Mueller’s investigation.

Yet Durham has produced nothing for public consumption.

In an interview last month, Barr said there might finally be some news in the next month or so. “[Durham] is pressing ahead as hard as he can, I expect we will have some developments hopefully by the end of this summer,” Barr told Fox News Channel’s Maria Bartiromo on June 21. “His investigation will continue, it’s not going to stop because of the election. What happens after the election will depend on who wins the election.”

In other words, the clock is ticking—and Barr knows it."

AP: After lobbying, Catholic Church won $1.4B in virus aid

BY REESE DUNKLIN AND MICHAEL REZENDES ASSOCIATED PRESS

JULY 10, 2020 03:04 AM

"NEW YORK

The U.S. Roman Catholic Church used a special and unprecedented exemption from federal rules to amass at least $1.4 billion in taxpayer-backed coronavirus aid, with many millions going to dioceses that have paid huge settlements or sought bankruptcy protection because of clergy sexual abuse cover-ups.

The church’s haul may have reached or even exceeded $3.5 billion, making a global religious institution with more than a billion followers among the biggest winners in the U.S. government’s pandemic relief efforts, an Associated Press analysis of federal data released this week found.

Houses of worship and faith-based organizations that promote religious beliefs aren’t usually eligible for money from the U.S. Small Business Administration. But as the economy plummeted and jobless rates soared, Congress let faith groups and other nonprofits tap into the Paycheck Protection Program, a $659 billion fund created to keep main street open and Americans employed.

By aggressively promoting the payroll program and marshaling resources to help affiliates navigate its shifting rules, Catholic dioceses, parishes, schools and other ministries have so far received approval for at least 3,500 forgivable loans, AP found.

The Archdiocese of New York, for example, received 15 loans

worth at least $28 million just for its top executive offices.

Its iconic St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Fifth Avenue was approved for at least $1 million.

In Orange County, California, where a sparkling glass cathedral estimated to cost over $70 million recently opened, diocesan officials working at the complex received four loans worth at least $3 million.

And elsewhere, a loan of at least $2 million went to the diocese covering Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia, where a church investigation revealed last year that then-Bishop Michael Bransfield embezzled funds and made sexual advances toward young priests.

Simply being eligible for low-interest loans was a new opportunity. But the church couldn’t have been approved for so many loans which the government will forgive if they are used for wage, rent and utilities without a second break.

Religious groups persuaded the Trump administration to free them from a rule that typically disqualifies an applicant with more than 500 workers. Without this preferential treatment, many Catholic dioceses would have been ineligible because between their head offices, parishes and other affiliates their employees exceed the 500-person cap.

“The government grants special dispensation, and that creates a kind of structural favoritism,” said Micah Schwartzman, a University of Virginia law professor specializing in constitutional issues and religion who has studied the Paycheck Protection Program. “And that favoritism was worth billions of dollars.”

The amount that the church collected, between $1.4 billion and $3.5 billion, is an undercount. The Diocesan Fiscal Management Conference, an organization of Catholic financial officers, surveyed members and reported that about 9,000 Catholic entities received loans. That is nearly three times the number of Catholic recipients AP could identify.

AP couldn’t find more Catholic beneficiaries because the government’s data, released after pressure from Congress and a lawsuit from news outlets including the AP, didn’t name recipients of loans under $150,000 – a category in which many smaller churches would fall. And because the government released only ranges of loan amounts, it wasn’t possible to be more precise.

Even without a full accounting, AP’s analysis places the Catholic Church among the major beneficiaries in the Paycheck Protection Program, which also has helped companies backed by celebrities, billionaires, state governors and members of Congress.

The program was open to all religious groups, and many took advantage. Evangelical advisers to President Donald Trump, including his White House spiritual czar, Paula White-Cain, also received loans."

I will write my opinion on this FACT.

Consider giving this anotableif my opinion is deemed worthy.

So, in essence, these billions of US tax payer dollars are primarily going to pay the salaries and administrative costs of generally the same people who have tried so hard to not only hide decades of abuse and neglect of victims at the hands of predator priests but who also fought vigorously attempting to block legislation aimed at correcting this very serious issue yet now we have to pay them back for this in the guise of a business loan that will probably be forgiven because of a scam we know of as COVID19?

Uhm uhm uhm if this does not bother you on a high level.

If this kind of corruption does not anger anons, words fail me.

We are basically subsidizing the Catholic Church for Child abuse.

Child abuse while they are here as representatives of a foreign government otherwise they would not have Diplomatic Immunity.

Child abuse settlements is why they are claiming to be broke currently.

This anon is very tired of pretending about any supposed Holiness where this particular group of Deep State foreign actors is concerned.

Most anons cannot even imagine reading the headline "1000 Jews molested 5000 children in a state near you" and "while they served as ambassador of Israel" and maybe "with diplomatic immunity!"?

"10000 children molested by 2000 Islamic Imams in Jersey!"

Oh there is a real bad double standard going on here and if I had my way I would rip it out by the root.

So, what did ya think?

Yeah… I should probably just scrape the articles and let anons think for themselves.

I ain't slowin' nothing down as it's still being suppressed even here.

Every damn day there are a dozen articles about people who molest and traffic children that get notabled here yet every damn day there are usually a similar amount of articles of Catholic Priests who molested kids right here in the good ole USA and yet almost nary a whimper…. Why do you think that is, anons?

How do I know? Because I have watched it go on and have experienced it first hand on perhaps hundreds of occasions. I have to FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT to get those digs in.

They are ashamed and afraid to do anything that may tarnish the reputation of their church. They are not going to tell the truth and they will avoid it, suppress it and otherwise go into the fear, denial, rationalization phase associated with cognitive dissonance when they encounter it.

AND I was talking about the Ambassadors from Rome not the adherents.

Did you get confused there?

Trying to pigeon hole again?

The Church Hierarchy is evil and should be expelled.

because P = Payseur right???

No! the fucking TRUTH is that P controls SOROS and Soros controls the democratic party so the TRUTH is…. you see all this shit we have experienced over the last 4 years???

It is all primarily [P]' fault and believe it or not, Pilgrim, this is all per Q!

Now you know why P absolutely must = anything but POPE.

Slow my roll right over you….
