I think POTUS is playing the Devil's Advocate here, because Virtual Learning does work and Homeschooling done by conscientious parents is awesome.

Now that we have witnessed it on a large scale basis, and firsthand, Virtual Learning has proven to be TERRIBLE compared to In School, or On Campus, Learning. Not even close! Schools must be open in the Fall. If not open, why would the Federal Government give Funding? It won’t!!!

Wow, you really read into that one.

I don't think that most people would be able to interpret a comm like that.

But I'm open to that idea.

Maybe he is in someway referring to being brainwashed via virtual learning, from the TV anyways.

Discretion is always necessary.

I saw it start to happen 30 years ago with Realtors telling young couples, who didn't have any kids yet and both were working, that they could afford a big fancy house. Then when the kids came along, the mom had to keep working to to keep making those big mortgage payments.

It used to be that people bought a small starter house and then saved $ to buy a bigger house later.

Yes. Parents shouldn't just plop their kids down in front of a computer and let them absorb the same Socialist BS that they were being fed in Government Schools.

But at least if the virtual learning is happening at home, maybe the parents will actually become aware of the fact that their kids are being brainwashed.

Same as parents who actually pay attention to the shows that their kids are watching on TV.

Some parents care, and some don't.

I also homeshooled my son for 9 years.

I went to a lot of conferences and was a member of Home School Legal Defense.

Most homeschoolers do not want anything from the government except to be left alone.

As soon as $, even in the form of a tax cut, is involved, gov't regulations appear.

People who send their kids to religious/private/parochial schools are all in the same boat.

A homeschool family is like a very small private school.

We pay double.

We pay to educate our own kids and we pay to educate other people's kids.

The whole property taxes paying for the public school system, is one big giant mess.

And a lot of the $ goes to the overpaid administrators.

The whole thing needs to be overhauled.

And don't even get me started on the corrupt Dem. run NEA teacher's union.
