WHO are the farmers?

There's VERY obvious answer given all the patterns.

They are the descendants of the dinosaurs.

It's not a stretch to alter history and say the dinosaurs died out. They may have become highly advanced. Even now they are revered, even though their continued existence, if true, is kept secret.

Some of our movies would be entertainment to them. They may not necessarily still be here, this could be their farm now. Maybe it always was.

No, I'm suggesting I'm not convinced this hasn't been a farm for a long time.

I'm not convinced out history is not a lie and the dinosaurs evolved as much as mammals and may have been more advanced. There is a MASSIVE chunk of history missing and this makes me suspicious.
