i studied religion and history for many years
you are seeing truth but only a piece
one must combine all the teachings and history and many other academic disciplines to get a decent picture of the truth
gnosticism simply means knowledge and that is what you seek
jesus was a gnostic of the highest order
but due to lies "gnosticism" now carries baggage just like all religion
just keep going
