Now see this right here just made me convert my initially 'healthy skeptic' position about this story, into a 'Wayfair is VERY VERY LIKELY involved in human trafficking' position.

Notice the phrasing Twitter admins are pushing in their artificial trending to describe Wayfair's response to accusations of being involved in human trafficking.

Twitter did not describe Wayfair's response as "Wayfair DENIES it is involved in human trafficking."

No, Twitter takes the hamfisted route here, by choosing a conclusive word "confirms there is no truth" to the story, and of course the overused fallback cliche C_A 'trigger to shut down talk' spell of 'conspiracy theory'.

These word choices scream out that they are trying to cover something up.

If Twitter wasn't trying to cover anything up, I believe they'd have used a much more neutral phrasing, a 'wait and see' kind of phrasing.

Unless Twitter KNOWS what Wayfair is up to 24/7, they can't possibly know that Wayfair's response of 'no truth' is a "confirmation".

Twitter is in no position to describe Wayfair's response as a 'confirmation' that there is 'no truth'.

The fact Twitter IS pushing the narrative that Wayfair's denial is a 'confirmation' was as if it jumped out of the screen to cover something up.

Twitter pushing the narrative equivalent of 'Wayfair confirms Wayfair is innocent, anyone who says otherwise is tinfoil hat crazy', EXPOSES TWITTER.

I notice Twitter does not describe responses to allegations consistently.

Remember when they pushed the artificial 'trending' about the story (later debunked by ODNI and the IC community) of Russia 'offering bounties' to target American soldiers?

When Twitter described Russia's response, I remember this well, Twitter pushed the trending narrative as "Russia DENIES it paid bounties".

This was no accident.

This was no coincidence.

Describing someone's claim of innocence as a 'denial' has a much different 'optics' as compared to describing that exact same claim as a 'confirmation'.

The former sounds nefarious, shady, questionable, while latter sounds conclusive and case closed.

Twitter did not push the trend "Russia CONFIRMS there is no truth to conspiracy theories it offered bounties to target American soldiers."

With Wayfair's response, Twitter did not even trend a neutral narrative, let alone the tacitly accusatory 'denies' narrative. No, they trended the narrative as if the case is closed, nothing to see here, everyone pay no attention, Wayfair is not involved in human trafficking, and shame on those talking about what is a 'conspiracy theory'.

I am not sure what the technical term for this is, but I know most people know the meaning of one of Shakespeare's most famous lines 'the Lady doth protest too much'.

When I see Twitter pushing a trend that implies a claim to a knowledge they cannot possibly have, the only explanation I can see is that they are trying to cover up a truth, not expose the truth.

Twitter dun fucked up and exposed themselves!

Look at how Twitter is phrasing the damage control.
