Just to play devil's advocate… it could just be straight kickbacks (not even money laundering…)

Suppose you're a contractor…. institutional clients have stupid handlers or may be complicit, and many private citizens hiring contracters are clueless. You charge them for an overpriced item and show them the pricing.. and they pay. But you have an arrangement with the seller to get a cut of the overpricing. I'm fairly sure this DOES happen….

Think about it… if you think SOME people are so depraved as to snatch kids off the street and "sell" them online, you've got to suspect that others do lesser crimes, right..?
