have most people who search regularly for online products not discovered that about 2018 it became impossible to find the real vendors because of reseller product spam?
you search for an item and 8000 things show up, all with the same details but slightly different pricing.
and part of it is shipping cost scams. people will charge a lot to ship sometimes, and then have it shipped from a local spot and save the difference (I've seen this).
it's a real thing, and it's been a problem for at least 2 years, or longer.
the model of online selling is compromised to allow for 'partners' of the portal sites to spam product listings and try and overtake all other resellers through a process of overloading the channels of commerce with stuff that is merely relisted with a different seller.
this is a known issue.
it reminds me of the 'strange kerning' issue.
a lot of people didn't know about it till last December.
but many many others knew about it ten years ago.
