Getty Images has passed along a keywording tip to its photographers who may be taking pictures related to Black Lives Matter.

Keywording Tip: The phrase “Black Lives Matter” (or BLM) cannot be added to titles or descriptions or appear in Creative royalty-free (RF) content. However, it can be added as a keyword, but only to relevant Creative files, e.g. anti-racism content. Black Lives Matter is a registered global organization whose name may be subject to protection.

but BLM is not a recognized IRS charity. Who is it registered with (what global entity?) and as you point out, if it is not an American group what does that have to do with us? Why do we have to recognize their laws?

These things don't just pop up by chance. Wait and see. There will be something that breaks as a result of this. I tend to doubt that children are being sold and shipped in furniture, but these are third-party sellers who are using these monster (pun intended) sites to launder money or sell contraband.

Think of it this way. You meet someone who says I want to buy what you are selling but I don't want any record of it. The seller says, no problem: Go to wayfair and buy this item from me. I'll set the price accordingly. As soon as that transaction is done, meet me here and I'll give you the goods.
