POTUS proved to the world he's a reasonable, compassionate man. He will not let politics dictate rational reasonable decisions that are for the good of the people. There ARE some limited, reasonable circumstances to wear a mask. That's why surgeons wear one when operating. Germ theory is still relevant. But POTUS knows as well as we do that the mask hysteria has nothing to do with germ theory, while are pushed by fascists on everyone in all circumstances with no regard for science or human rights. POTUS was clear yesterday that he would wear a mask in a hospital setting among vulnerable patients, and he's also been clear that there are circumstances when he would not wear a mask and that in most circumstances IT IS UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL TO MAKE A CHOICE.

I'll just add that when POTUS states that he would be wearing a mask when he entered that hospital, he did not say it was to protect anyone against COVID. He implied it was to protect vulnerable patients from germs. Any germ to an immune-compromised person is dangerous. POTUS doesn't have COVID, but we all can have a thousand bugs a day that we fight off easily which can still be a problem for very sick people. Hospital settings full of very sick people should be maintained as sterile as possible. That was true yesterday, it's true today, and it will be true tomorrow. But if you're that immune-compromised you need to be isolated, you shouldn't go to a football game, and nobody should be required to wear masks out in public.
