Kids don't visit. Friends are dead or moved away. Local kids have been warned to stay away. Adult neighbors barely nod. Nobody has 5 minutes to chat about ANYTHING.
Barely get a Christmas or birthday card. Send 'em. Don't GET 'em. Phone calls 2-3 times a year. Senior citizen centers are full of people who have already chosen their circles of friends.
My best friend is the mailman. A couple times a month we chat for 30 seconds or even a minute.
Pets fill the void. You got a problem with that?
