So, if Trump wants to include a path to citizenship, what's the problem?
Most likely, very few of these DACA people could pass the qualifications (e.g. not abusing welfare, no criminal records, etc.), so all the DACA people would be doing in applying for citizenship would be to let the Feds know right where they are and allow access to a background check.
I think dangling the path to citizenship carrot out there is just a strategy to get the DACA people out of the shadows.
Corps are bitching because they know they'll lose employees. DACA must be a corollary of the H-1B visa scam.
