The reason they are panicking is because they all know that Stone’s appeal will be heard and it will show that there never was proof that Russia hacked the DNC and provided the hacked emails over to WikiLeaks. On Friday President Trump commuted the sentence of Roger Stone allowing Stone to stay out of prison while he appeals the totally corrupt case that he endured over the past year and a half. This action sent shockwaves through the MSM and the Deep State.

Stone was a victim of the Mueller witch hunt, an investigation with no merit that Trump-hating prosecutors knew was fraudulent before they opened the investigation.

The Head of the Mueller Investigation created to harass and remove President Trump from office, former FBI Director, Robert Mueller, supposedly released a statement in response to the commutation in an Op-Ed at the far-left Washington Post. Many suspect that Mueller’s accomplice, the corrupt Andrew Weissmann, drafter the report since Mueller does not appear to have the mental faculties to draft such a report as his testimony in front of the House last year indicated.

Mueller blasted Roger Stone in a WaPo op-ed on Saturday titled, “Roger Stone Remains a Convicted Felon, and Rightly So.” The first three paragraphs of Mueller’s op-ed were as follows:

By late 2016, the FBI had evidence that the Russians had signaled to a Trump campaign adviser that they could assist the campaign through the anonymous release of information damaging to the Democratic candidate. And the FBI knew that the Russians had done just that: Beginning in July 2016, WikiLeaks released emails stolen by Russian military intelligence officers from the Clinton campaign. Other online personas using false names — fronts for Russian military intelligence — also released Clinton campaign emails.

Following FBI Director James B. Comey’s termination in May 2017, the acting attorney general named me as special counsel and directed the special counsel’s office to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. The order specified lines of investigation for us to pursue, including any links or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump campaign. One of our cases involved Stone, an official on the campaign until mid-2015 and a supporter of the campaign throughout 2016. Stone became a central figure in our investigation for two key reasons: He communicated in 2016 with individuals known to us to be Russian intelligence officers, and he claimed advance knowledge of WikiLeaks’ release of emails stolen by those Russian intelligence officers.

Coronavirus remains ‘public enemy number one’ & pandemic may get ‘worse and worse and worse’ – WHO

The Covid-19 pandemic is set to get “worse and worse” if countries do not stick to strict healthcare guidelines, the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned. The disease has already killed more than half-a-million globally.

Speaking on Monday during a press briefing from the agency’s headquarters in Geneva via videolink, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus gave an alarming prognosis on the pandemic’s course.

“Let me be blunt. Too many countries are headed in the wrong direction, the virus remains public enemy number one,” Tedros said. “If basics are not followed, the only way this pandemic is going to go: it is going to get worse and worse and worse.”

The grim prognosis comes after the WHO registered a record daily increase in active coronavirus cases worldwide since the beginning of the pandemic. On Sunday, the global health watchdog registered some 230,370 new cases of the virus. The Covid-19 death rate remains steady, claiming around 5,000 lives on a daily basis

The global coronavirus tally for confirmed infections has risen above the 13-million mark, according to Reuters’ figures for the pandemic. Over 560,000 people have succumbed to the disease. The US, Brazil and India remain the worst-hit nations, accounting for nearly a half of all cases.

South Africa Reintroduces Ban On Alcohol Sales To Combat Virus Pandemic

South Africa's confirmed COVID-19 cases have exponentially soared in the last several weeks to over a quarter-million as the government reintroduces restrictions to ban alcohol sales, along with new night-time curfews, and mandatory mask-wearing, a move that will hopefully alleviate the country's hospital system by mitigating the spread of the virus, reported BBC News.

President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the African nation on Sunday and said the sale of alcohol would be suspended with "immediate effect."

The move to ban alcohol sales across the country is expected to take the pressure off the national healthcare system as virus cases surge.

In Johannesburg, South Africa's biggest city and capital of Gauteng province, hospitals are poorly equipped with a lack of oxygen concentrators for virus patients. As a whole, the entire public hospital system has depleted tools to save lives in the pandemic - hence why Ramaphosa has banned alcohol sales for the second time this year.

South Africa has over 276,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including more than 4,000 deaths. Cases have exponentially risen in the last several weeks. Government projections indicate 50,000 people could die by the end of the year.

Israeli court tosses out Amnesty petition to stop export of Pegasus spyware

NSO Group, the Israeli producer of the spyware kit Pegasus, has emerged victorious from a court battle with Amnesty International after a court in Tel Aviv said it saw no reason to ban export of the notorious product.

Amnesty argued that Pegasus was used by repressive governments throughout the world to spy on human rights activists, including its own employees, and that the best way to stop the abuses was to prevent international sales of the software altogether.

The petition was rejected on Monday by the Tel Aviv District Court, which sided with NSO Group and the Israeli Defense Ministry. In her ruling Justice Rachel Barkai said she was satisfied with the way the Israeli government handles sensitive export, including of the spy kit.

“In particular when there is a violation of human rights, audit procedures are taken or export licenses are suspended,” she wrote.

Founded in 2010, NSO develops cyber surveillance software meant for law enforcement and national security agencies. Amnesty made its case by citing numerous occurrences in countries like Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates, in which Pegasus was allegedly used to spy on political opponents or critics of the government.

George Soros Donates $220 Million to Radical BLM Groups Including Movement to “End Policing as We Know It”

The Soros Foundation announced $220 million donations to BLM and black-led justice organizations building power in black communities across the country.

The Open Society Foundations added that the donations will help the movement to “end policing as we know it.”

This is not the first time Soros has donated to black lives matter.

In August 2016 the mysterious “DC Leaks” website posted hacked documents from George Soros’s Open Society.

The documents included information on operations in Latin America, Eurasia, Asia, the US, Europe and the World Bank.

One document revealed Soros paid $650,000 to the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Washington Times accused Soros of giving at least $33 million in one year to the far left groups that emboldened black lives matter activists.

During the Ferguson riots a Soros-linked organization MORE (Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment) and OBS (Organization for Black Struggle) advertised for paid protesters in Ferguson.

And in May 2015 a list of over 80 groups and individuals was posted on Twitter of the paid Ferguson protesters.

On Monday the Soros Open Society announced another $220 million in donations to radical groups in black communities.

Open Society Foundation, the philanthropic organization founded by billionaire George Soros, is investing $220 million in emerging organizations and leaders building power in Black communities across the U.S.

The largest share for the investment, $150 million, will be through a set of five-year grants to Black-led organizations focused on racial equality, the organization announced Monday.

“It is inspiring and powerful to experience this transformational moment in the racial justice movement,” Open Society Foundations’ President Patrick Gaspard said in a statement. “We are honored to be able to carry on the vital work of fighting for rights, dignity, and equity for oppressed people the world over started by our founder and chair, George Soros.”

Some of the organizations receiving the grants are fighting for expanding voting rights, while others are fighting for police reform. Recipients of this set of investments include Black Voters Matter, Circle for Justice Innovations, Repairers of the Breach and the Equal Justice Initiative, according to Open Society Foundations.

In addition to the five-year grants, Open Society Foundations said it is also making a series of investments totaling $70 million in “more immediate efforts to advance racial justice.”

China Announces Retaliatory Sanctions On Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz And Other Top US Senators

China announced sanctions against several key US politicians in retaliation for measures announced by the Trump administration last week to punish senior Chinese officials over Beijing's human rights abuses against minority Uighur Muslims, reported Reuters.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters at a press conference Monday that effective immediately, Beijing will sanction four top US officials.

Hua said, "corresponding sanctions" were applied to Republican Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, US Representative Chris Smith, Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback, and the Congressional-Executive Commission on China.

"The US actions seriously interfere in China's internal affairs, seriously violate the basic norms of international relations and seriously damage Sino-U.S. relations," she said during the briefing adding that "China will make further responses based on how the situation develops," though limited details were given on what the sanctions would entail.

The tit-for-tat diplomatic spat between the US and China comes days after Washington imposed travel bans on Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials for their involvement in restricting foreigners' access to Tibet. Shortly after, China responded by issuing visa restrictions on Americans for the region.

Last week, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian told reporters in Beijing: The US "should stop going further down the wrong path to avoid further harming China-U.S. relations and communication and cooperation between the two countries."

Sino-US relations have plunged to their lowest point in decades since the trade war began, amid the coronavirus pandemic, Hong Kong debacle, Taiwan tensions and fresh hostilities in the South China Sea.

President Trump announced late last week a phase two trade deal with China is "unlikely," suggesting relations between both countries will plunge further.

‘Everyone is lying’: Outrage after Trump retweets TV host who said there’s a Covid-19 conspiracy to make him lose election

TV personality Chuck Woolery ignited uproar after claiming there was a conspiracy afoot to distort the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in order to make Donald Trump lose November’s election, a tweet the president then reposted.

“The most outrageous lies are the ones about Covid 19,” the game-show host tweeted on Sunday, adding that “everyone is lying” about the pandemic.

According to Woolery, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Democratic Party, the media and “most” doctors are all in on the anti-Trump conspiracy. By exaggerating the direness of the pandemic, they are trying to “keep the economy from coming back” which could cost President Trump re-election in November, he believes.

Netizens were up in arms over Woolery’s tweet, calling him “paranoid and brainwashed” for indulging in a seeming conspiracy theory. Others went as far as to brand him a “traitor.”

The Twitter outrage went up a gear when Trump himself retweeted Woolery on Monday morning. Trump is “lucky” he has executive privilege, one incensed commenter said, because “anyone else would be charged with negligent homicide.”

Some suggested Woolery’s theory is built around the same partisan thinking of which he is accusing the alleged conspirators.

Notably, many of the replies to the tweet came from Americans who said they had lost family members to the virus.

Service outages, compromised security possible unless government takes common-sense approach to Huawei - BT CEO

Rushing to exclude Chinese telecom giant Huawei from the UK market may have serious consequences, including a failure to keep British networks safe, the head of telecommunications company BT has warned.

Downing Street is to announce on Tuesday whether it would reverse January’s decision to allow Huawei to provide equipment for developing 5G in Britain. London is under serious pressure from Washington to push the Chinese giant out of Britain over security concerns.

A rushed decision regarding Huawei may be disruptive for Britain, BT CEO Philip Jansen warned on Monday. Rather than keep the networks safe, it could compromise their security.

“We need to make sure that any change of direction does not lead to more risk in the short term,” he told BBC Radio 4.

For example, if all transactions with the Chinese company are forbidden, British operators currently using its equipment will not be able to keep the firmware up to date. In a best-case scenario, it would take five years to replace Huawei components in British networks, and, in that time, some 15 to 20 big software upgrades are likely to be released by the company, Jansen said.

“If we get to a situation where things need to go very, very fast, then, … potentially, service for 24 million BT Group mobile customers is put into question, [resulting in] outages,” he added.

Washington accuses Huawei of serving as an agent of the Chinese government and collecting intelligence through the equipment it sells. The company says it has been smeared, because the US has failed to catch up with Chinese vendors in developing 5G solutions and is brandishing the national security cudgel to undermine competition.

Jansen said BT was in talks with the British government to explain the potential ramifications of the decisions it may soon take, and hoped “common sense would prevail” in the end “and we will head the right direction here”.

Cop Arrested for Getting 12yo Girl Drunk Before Exposing Himself to Her

Highland County, OH — As TFTP reports on a regular basis, cops are constantly in the news fro their criminal actions. Second only to incidents of police brutality are crimes for instances of sexual misconduct. As the following case out of Ohio illustrates, nearly half of all police sexual misconduct involves crimes against society’s most vulnerable — children.

A police Sergeant is facing multiple criminal charges after he was accused of getting a 12-year-old girl drunk and exposing himself to her during a Father’s Day party at his house. Roy E. Stephens, 32, a longtime officer with the Leesburg Police Department, was charged with indecent exposure and providing alcohol to a minor, which seems to be fairly lenient considering the nature of the offense.

These are misdemeanor charges and under these circumstances in the state of Ohio, the matter of placing Stephens on the sex offender registry will be up to the discretion of the judge, so there is a chance he will avoid that penalty, especially if he is a first time offender and a police officer.

Leesburg Law Director Fred Beery said that Stephens had been a police officer with the city for “A few years,” but did not specify exactly how long he has been employed with the city. The complaint was made last month, after a Father’s Day party at Stephens’ house on June 20th into the 21st. The incident was reported to the Highland County Sheriff’s Office by the girl’s mother the very next day.

Stephens turned himself in on July 2nd, but was released shortly after on an own recognizance bond, which means that he didn’t have to pay bail. He will be due back in court on August 6th, and until then he has been ordered to stay away from the victim and stay at his home during night hours unless he is at work.

According to the affidavit filed in court last week. Stephens gave the young girl between three and five alcoholic beverages throughout the night, and at one point encouraged her to chug one of the drinks down fast so it would “mess [her] up faster.”

These allegations are a clear attempt at getting the girl drunk so he could have his way with her.

‘We want to see economic engines fired up’: UK govt drops ‘stay at home’ message as Gove urges people back to their workplaces

UK Cabinet Minister Michael Gove said more people should return to their workplaces instead of working remotely, as the country continues to lift Covid-19 restrictions. He also said masks in shops will not be compulsory.

Sophy Ridge of Sky News asked Gove on Sunday whether people should continue working from home if they can, or go back to the office. "We want to see more people back at work on the shop floor, in the office, wherever they can be," Gove replied.

Of course, in some cases it’s appropriate and convenient for people to work from home… [But] we want to make sure that the economic engines of this country are fired up again.

He added that a raft of financial measures unveiled by Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak recently were made “in order to make sure that we are in a position to be able to provide people with safety and security at work, to protect their jobs and to guarantee jobs in the future."

Estimated 100,000 Slaves Working Across UK, 10,000 in Coronavirus City of Leicester: Reports

A report by the think tank the Centre for Social Justice and the anti-slavery charity Justice and Care says that nearly 100,000 slaves are working across Britain, around ten times more than 2017 government estimates.

The report, It Still Happens Here published on Sunday, used artificial intelligence to analyse the crime and intelligence reports across six towns and cities in the West Midlands to estimate some 4,197 victims of slavery in one year. Extrapolated for the entire United Kingdom, the think tank came to the figure of 99,469, which does not count the victims who have not appeared in police databases. The government had estimated in 2017 that around 10,000 to 13,000 slaves were operating in the UK.

The slavery is being coordinated by “ruthless criminal networks” and ranges from hard labour, crime, domestic servitude, to prostitution, with children also being trafficked for exploitation. Gangsters are said to be working in conjunction with people traffickers to bring in and exploit illegal immigrants, including those from the Middle East, who along with Eastern Europeans, are being subjugated to “debt bondage”, where their expenses for passage and board are considered a debt to be paid off before release from servitude.

“Human traffickers and Organised Crime Groups are running riot in too many communities. Very few face prosecution relative to the number of victims found and even fewer are convicted. As the number of victims discovered has skyrocketed in the last five years, convictions have barely increased,” the report found.

It Still Happens Here also said that people from more than 130 countries around the world had been trafficked to the UK for slavery; “however, in the last three years the UK has been the top country of origin of suspected slavery victims.”

A “growing number of British citizens suffer trafficking and exploitation alongside so many victims from abroad”, the Modern Slavery Policy Unit said, including homeless people. Breitbart London reported last month that takeaway restaurant boss Hargit Singh Bariana had been jailed for targeting and enslaving homeless, mostly British, white men in the towns of Blyth and Sunderland. Bariana had forced the men to work 13 hours a day and confiscated their government support benefits.

The report comes amidst claims that as many as 10,000 slaves are working in the multicultural city of Leicester, alone.

Conservative MP for North West Leicestershire Andrew Bridgen told Sky News on Monday that a “conspiracy of silence” has allowed factory owners to continue to employ staff working far less than the legal minimum wage in unsafe conditions in sweatshops.

“You’ve got a systemic failure of all the protections in Leicester that would prevent this from happening.

“I’ve estimated it’s around 10,000 individuals who are effectively in modern slavery providing garments for internet retailers,” Mr Bridgen told the broadcaster.

Leicester East MP Claudia Webbe said that she had been contacted by many workers who are too frightened to come out publicly because they are in the country illegally. The Labour MP said she had been told that some machinists are being paid £3 an hour, packers just £2.

Slave labour in Leicester’s garment sweatshops has been a known issue since at least January when Mr Bridgen raised a question on the problem in Parliament.

Judges Block Deportation of Foreign Crime Boss Deemed ‘Serious Threat to Public’

Court of Appeal judges have blocked the deportation of a foreign organised crime boss deemed a “serious threat to public security”, reportedly because he is married to an EU migrant.

The gangster, identified only as ‘Mr A’ in reports because of the highly sensitive nature of the case against his criminal activities but described as Turkish by The Sun, is said to have been involved in “financial crimes, guns, and revenge attacks overseas”.

The deportation order against ‘Mr A’ had been upheld by the Upper Tribunal of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber, but as with many foreign criminals — such as the recent case of an Afghan terrorist who after six failed appeals was finally able to find a court willing to block his deportation so he could receive NHS treatment for the PTSD he suffered fighting for the Taliban — he was able to carry on appealing until he found judges willing to give him the answer he wanted.

“I would dismiss grounds 2 and 3 [for the appeal] but, for reasons given in the closed judgment, I would allow the appeal under ground 1 and would remit the case for re-hearing by a differently constituted panel of the [Upper Tribunal],” said judge Sir Stephen Richards, ruling alongside Lord Justice Fulford and Lady Justice Nicola Davies, in what few comments on the case the press were permitted to report.

The failure to deport the gangster, who is “living openly in the community”, according to The Telegraph, has been attributed in part to the fact he is married to an EU migrant, with the EU laws on Free Movement to which Britain remains subject making it extremely difficult to deport EU or EU-linked nationals.

President Duda, the ad hoc candidate for the traditionalist Law and Justice (PiS) party, has won 51.2 per cent of the vote with more than 99 per cent of ballots counted, defeating Rafal Trzaskowski, the globalist, europhile candidate for the Civic Platform (PO) party — described somewhat dubiously as “centre-right” or “liberal-conservative” by much of the mainstream media.

Nevertheless, that the race was so close in what is almost certainly the most conservatively minded country in the developed world is notable.

Poland’s democracy is more parliamentary than presidential, with Duda serving as head of state but not head of government — a role fulfilled by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki — but he nevertheless has an important role in the political process, with powers to veto legislation, ratify (or repudiate) treaties, and so on.

Duda came under sustained attack during the campaign for saying he would “defend children from LGBT ideology” if given a second term — a statement represented by the president’s enemies as a pledge to roll back gay rights or otherwise persecute sexual minorities.

Duda’s supporters, however, say he was actually referring to the importation of such phenomena such as “drag queen story hour”, graphic sex education related to non-conventional relationships in schools, and hormone and gender reassignment surgery for children.

“Parents are responsible for the sexual education of their children,” Duda said, vowing to “protect the interests of the family” and “defend the institution of marriage”.

Independent Cartel Boss Outed By Breitbart Arrested in Mexican Border State

Mexican Cartel Drug Seizures Jump 50 Percent in June

Drug seizures jumped 50 percent in June under the combined efforts of U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s officers and agents. Included in these is a nearly 70 percent increase in cocaine and a 151 percent rise in fentanyl.

Seizures increased 50 percent from May to June, according to information released by CBP officials. Seizures of methamphetamine (including crystal and liquid forms) decreased 15 percent. Marijuana increased by 66 percent.

This latest data provides insights into the monthly output of the Mexican cartel clandestine laboratories in the manufacturing of controlled substances.

In late 2019, Breitbart Texas received information from sources within the cartels that the Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) outfits would be increasing output from their labs in the following months. In January of the fiscal year 2020, the sources were validated by CBP seizure data.

As COVID-19 spread, global shipping and transportation logistics and even the criminal underworld were impacted. Some high-profile outlets reported that COVID-19 could very well be what puts the Mexican cartels out of business.

U.S. domestic drug dealers continue to have issues obtaining product. The farther you get from the southwest border, the greater the strain on transportation networks. What most did not differentiate is how the smaller cartels and independent smugglers in Mexico operate in leaner fashions to get wares to market.

The two largest cartels, Sinaloa and CJNG, continued to manufacture methamphetamine and fentanyl at higher quantities than ever before. Chemical precursors are ordered in bulk from Chinese contacts in Mexico. They are delivered via large cargo container ships to ports like Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Veracruz, and Ensenada.

The Sinaloa Cartel began changing the analogs in the fentanyl manufacturing process as far back as 2018. This would allow for different chemicals to be utilized to help cut out the Chinese suppliers. The cartels began hiring chemistry professors from Mexican universities.

As of June 2020 for this fiscal year, CBP reported seizures of 103,917 pounds of methamphetamine at points of entry. These seizures far surpassed the FY2019 record year of 68,585 pounds. Fentanyl seizures reached 2,034 pounds–which will soon surpass the FY 2019 record year of 2,545 pounds.

There are still three months left before the end of the current fiscal year. If the seizure numbers stay steady, methamphetamine could reach as high as 130,000 pounds–more than double the 2019 record.

George Washington Tried To Warn Americans About Foreign Policy Today

Ben Rhodes, Barack Obama’s deputy national security adviser, unkindly characterized the foreign policy establishment in Washington, D.C., as "the Blob." Although policymakers sometimes disagree on peripheral subjects, membership requires an absolute commitment to U.S. "leadership," which means a determination to micro-manage the world.

Reliance on persuasion is not enough. Vital is the willingness to bomb, invade, and, if necessary, occupy other nations to impose the Blob’s dictates on other peoples. If foreigners die, as they often do, remember the saying about eggs and omelets oft repeated by communism’s apologists. "Stuff happens" with the best-intentioned policies.

One might be inclined to forgive Blob members if their misguided activism actually benefited the American people. However, all too often the Blob’s policies instead aid other governments and interests. Washington is overrun by the representatives of and lobbyists for other nations, which constantly seek to take control of US policy for their own advantage. The result are foreign interventions in which Americans do the paying and, all too often, the dying for others.

The problem is primarily one of power. Other governments don’t spend a lot of time attempting to take over Montenegro’s foreign policy because, well, who cares? Exactly what would you do after taking over Fiji’s foreign ministry other than enjoy a permanent vacation? Seize control of international relations in Barbados and you might gain a great tax shelter.

Subvert American democracy and manipulate US foreign policy, and you can loot America’s treasury, turn the US military into your personal bodyguard, and gain Washington’s support for reckless war-mongering. And given the natural inclination of key American policymakers to intervene promiscuously abroad for the most frivolous reasons, it’s surprisingly easy for foreign interests to convince Uncle Sam that their causes are somehow "vital" and therefore require America’s attention. Indeed, it is usually easier to persuade Americans than foreign peoples in their home countries to back one or another international misadventure.

The culprits are not just autocratic regimes. Friendly democratic governments are equally ready to conspiratorially whisper in Uncle Sam’s ear. Even nominally classical liberal officials, who believe in limiting their own governments, argue that Americans are obligated to sacrifice wealth and life for everyone else. The mantra seems to be liberty, prosperity, and peace for all – except those living in the superpower tasked by heaven with protecting everyone else’s liberty, prosperity, and peace.

Trump Is Trying to Hide US and Israeli War Crimes by Attacking the International Criminal Court

A war crimes complaint has been filed against Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump adviser Jared Kushner in the International Criminal Court (ICC). It is now up to the ICC’s Office of the Prosecutor to decide whether the complaint should be pursued. If the prosecutor launches a preliminary examination and finds reason to believe they committed war crimes, the court could then authorize a full investigation.

The complaint, filed by Middlesex University law professor William Schabas on June 30 on behalf of four Palestinians who live in the West Bank, states “there is credible evidence” that Trump, Netanyahu and Kushner “are complicit in acts that may amount to war crimes relating to the transfer of populations into occupied territory and the annexation of the sovereign territory of the State of Palestine.” Under article 15 of the ICC’s Rome Statute, any individual, group or organization can bring a complaint to the Office of the Prosecutor.

Schabas’s complaint comes on the heels of unusual moves last month from the Trump administration, which declared a “national emergency” in June in an effort to shield U.S. and Israeli officials from ICC accountability for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Trump issued an executive order on June 11 declaring a national emergency because, he says, any ICC attempt to investigate, arrest, detain or prosecute any personnel of the United States or its allies (Israel) without consent to the court’s jurisdiction “constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.”

The order authorizes the freezing of assets and family travel bans against ICC officials and others who have participated in, or provided assistance to investigations, arrests, detentions or prosecutions. It’s not necessary that a person be involved with an ICC action, however, to be subject to Trump’s new sanctions. His order covers any ICC employee or agent whom the secretary of state determines “would be detrimental to the interests of the United States.”

Trump’s Endorsement of Israel’s Illegal Annexation Is a War Crime

Schabas’s complaint alleges that the Trump administration’s endorsement of Israel’s annexation constitutes a war crime.

Trump’s “Peace to Prosperity” plan endorses the illegal Israeli annexation of 30 percent of the West Bank which, Schabas alleges, “is intricately linked to the war crime of changing the population of an occupied territory.” The annexation, slated to occur on July 1, has been delayed, likely for political reasons.

Article 49  of the Fourth Geneva Convention states that an “occupying power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own population into the territories it occupies.” The Rome Statute says that an occupying power’s direct or indirect transfer “of parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies” is a war crime.

Tel Aviv protests turn violent amid clashes with police

Israel Police announced that it was working to disperse the crowds who were conducting an "illegal protest and disturbing the public order."

As economic protests in Tel Aviv came to an end on Saturday night, protesters began to block roads and clash with police throughout the city.

Dozens of protesters blocked HaHasmonaim and Hamisgar-Yitzhak Sadeh roads and the exit to the Ayalon Highway. The intersection in front of the Azrieli towers was blocked by protesters leaving the protest in Rabin Square. The chief of the central Tel Aviv police station addressed protesters blocking the Azrieli Junction saying that "you are in an illegal gathering. You have five minutes to leave the intersection. If you do not leave the intersection, we will be forced to use reasonable force against you," according to Channel 12.

Israel Police announced that they were working to disperse the crowds that were conducting an "illegal protest and disturbing the public order."

Those "inciting and resisting the dispersal with force" were arrested by police. Pictures and videos from Tel Aviv showed violent clashes, with protesters attacking police and police holding down protesters who were being arrested. Some officers arrived on horseback as part of efforts to disperse the demonstrators.

Some 19 people were called in for questioning overnight for disturbing public order, with 12 being arrested afterwards. Three police officers were lightly injured as protesters attacked police and threw bottles and tear gas at them. Protesters vandalized parts of Rothschild Boulevard and lit fires in trash cans, according to a police statement.

The police stressed that while they "allow the freedom to protest, there is a difference between a legitimate protest with defined boundaries and a riot that throws off every rein and violates the public order while harming police officers, damaging property and harming the general public."

Videos circulated on Saturday night showed protesters throwing stones through the glass door of a Discount Bank branch on Ibn Gabirol Street.

Surgeon General On Prior Anti-Mask Statements: ‘When We Learn More, Our Recommendations Change’

During a CBS News appearance on Sunday, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams defended remarks he made on the show back in March when he was still cautioning people to not wear face masks because, when it comes to getting infected with coronavirus, they “do not work for the general public.”

“It’s important for people to understand that once upon a time, we prescribed cigarettes for asthmatics, and leeches and cocaine, and heroin for people as medical treatments. When we learn better, we do better,” said Adams, who was wearing a face mask to communicate the need to wear masks — which the available evidence also suggests is a good idea.

“Are you saying, at that time, you did not know – because the CDC, in February, was looking at asymptomatic transmission of the virus,” responded CBS News anchor Margaret Brennan, who previously pointed out that the administration’s mask guidance changed in April.

“We were looking at that,” said Adams, “but the CDC, the WHO, and even in May, there was a New England Journal of Medicine article that still disputed whether or not masks were effective.”

Since the beginning of the pandemic, continued Adams, public health officials have learned that “up to fifty percent of people who can spread this disease, spread it without having symptoms.” The surgeon general used this informational bit as an example of why recommendations can change – because what we know can change.

After acknowledging the importance of wearing masks or face coverings, Brennan pushed back against Adams, asking whether he thought the “mixed messaging” has created the opportunity for confusion.

As Adams explained his need “to correct that messaging,” Brennan asked bluntly: “Were you saying that then because there just wasn’t enough equipment?”

Adams responded: “I was saying that then because everything we knew about coronaviruses, before that point, told us that people were not likely to spread when they were asymptomatic. So the science at the time suggested that there was not a high degree of asymptomatic spread. We learned more.”

“There also was, as you mentioned, a very real concern about hoarding of PPE, and people dressing up in trash bags, as health care workers. That was a part of it. But the primary reason was because that’s what the science said. And I want the American people to understand, we follow the science, and when we learn more, our recommendations change,” said Adams.

As Brennan noted in the interview, back in late-February, Adams tweeted for people “STOP BUYING MASKS” because they are “NOT effective in preventing” the general public from coronavirus.

Navarro On TikTok: ‘All The Data’ ‘Goes Right To Servers In China’

Appearing on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo this week, Trump administration trade advisor Peter Navarro discussed the ongoing examination of popular short-form video sharing app TikTok.

“The other thing that’s on the table that we need to talk about is this whole TikTok, WeChat social media thing,” Navarro stated following a discussion between himself and Bartiromo about Hong Kong.

What the American people have to understand is, all the data that goes into those mobile apps that kids have so much fun with and seem so convenient, it goes right to servers in China, right to the Chinese military, the Chinese Communist Party, and the agencies which want to steal our intellectual property.

Those apps can be used to steal personal and financial information for blackmail and extortion. They can be used to steal business intellectual property and proprietary secrets.

Navarro added that “besides surveilling and tracking Americans,” Chinese mobile apps can be used for “information warfare” purposes, stressing that what China wants is for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden to win in November.

The trade advisor continued, comparing TikTok and WeChat to Chinese phone maker Huawei, which he suggested placed “an American puppet in charge … as the CEO” in order to claim that the entity is independent of China, and therefore not a threat to America.

“They’re trying that game with TikTok,” Navarro stated. “Not gonna work.”

Navarro then told Bartiromo to “expect strong action on that.”

Bartiromo noted that the American CEO of TikTok used to work at Disney, “but the Chinese individual who’s a communist member is the chairman.”

“But this is what I thought was really interesting. This week, we had a headline that says Democratic National Committee is warning against campaigns on using TikTok,” the host added. “Even the Democratic National Committee is voicing concern.”

As scrutiny over TikTok has intensified, there has been a push by some to ban the app.

In March, Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Rick Scott (R-FL) introduced legislation that would “ban all federal employees from using TikTok on government devices,” according to a statement on Hawley’s Senate website.

Sen. Hawley said at the time:

TikTok is owned by a Chinese company that includes Chinese Communist Party members on its board, and it is required by law to share user data with Beijing. The company even admitted it collects user data while their app is running in the background – including the messages people send, pictures they share, their keystrokes and location data, you name it. As many of our federal agencies have already recognized, TikTok is a major security risk to the United States, and it has no place on government devices.

On Friday, Amazon reportedly sent an email to its employees, which was obtained by The New York Times, instructing them to delete TikTok from their “mobile devices that access Amazon email” due to “security risks.” However, an Amazon spokesperson later stated that the email had been “sent in error.”

“There is no change to our policies right now with regard to TikTok,” they said.

Dad Arrested for What He Did After Finding a Man in His 14-Year-Old Daughter's Bedroom

It’s easy for dads to understand why 41-year-old Ismael Casillas followed Keywontrezes Humphries into his yard with a gun after he found the man in his 14-year-old daughter’s bedroom.

It’s a lot more difficult for the courts in Coweto County, Georgia, to understand, apparently.

Casillas, according to WAGA-TV, found Humphries in his house early on the morning of July 4. According to WAGA, authorities have said the 20-year-old Humphries was in a relationship with the daughter — though he’s been charged with child molestation because of his age and the girl’s status as a minor, the station reported.

But for most men with female offspring, any circumstance in which a 20-year-old man is with your 14-year-old daughter is usually a good reason for a freakout.

And, at first, Casillas’ actions were legally solid — if violent.

The father choked and beat Humphries so severely that the younger man lost a few teeth and chipped some others, police say

“If it had stopped there, investigators say they might not have charged the dad,” WAGA reported.

It didn’t stop there. Casillas asked his wife for a gun.

Humphries, also known as “Man Man,” according to WAGA, exited by jumping out a window, but Casillas wasn’t finished yet.

The father came out into the front yard, continuing to assault him. He beat him some more — and then fired shots throughout the neighborhood as Humphries fled.

That’s a problem as far as Georgia law goes.

While Humphries has been charged with sex offenses — that wasn’t a reason under Georgia law for Casillas to follow him out into the yard and to fire a few rounds off into the night.

Under the law, once an intruder is no longer a threat, you can no longer engage him in “defensive” actions.

WAGA reported that “investigators say they understand Casillas rage.” Don’t we all.

However, self-defense is about protecting yourself (or loved ones), not about taking it out on someone who no longer presents a threat.

Casillas will likely be facing some charges here. And he should be.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of liberal Black Lives Matter activists are tormenting the teenage daughter of a slain police officer on social media.

Savannah Chavez, the 18-year-old daughter of Officer Chavez, posted about her grief on Twitter shortly after the news broke.

“Words cannot describe the pain I’m in, but I’m glad my dad is at peace. you were an amazing man and anyone who ever came across you knew that. I’m going to miss you so much. you died doing what you loved most, you died a hero. i love you daddy, see you soon,” Chavez wrote in her heartbreaking tweet, along with photos with her dad.

Though most normal people responded to the distraught young woman with compassion and kindness, the left did not hold back on attacking her.

Many of the shocking and cruel tweets directed towards her were compiled and shared by the Nationalist Review. They included people saying that he “finally became a good cop,” now that he was dead, and worse. Others scolded her for daring to talk about his death, telling her “now is not the time or place” and to “read the room.”

Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of liberal Black Lives Matter activists are tormenting the teenage daughter of a slain police officer on social media.

Savannah Chavez, the 18-year-old daughter of Officer Chavez, posted about her grief on Twitter shortly after the news broke.

“Words cannot describe the pain I’m in, but I’m glad my dad is at peace. you were an amazing man and anyone who ever came across you knew that. I’m going to miss you so much. you died doing what you loved most, you died a hero. i love you daddy, see you soon,” Chavez wrote in her heartbreaking tweet, along with photos with her dad.

Though most normal people responded to the distraught young woman with compassion and kindness, the left did not hold back on attacking her.

Many of the shocking and cruel tweets directed towards her were compiled and shared by the Nationalist Review. They included people saying that he “finally became a good cop,” now that he was dead, and worse. Others scolded her for daring to talk about his death, telling her “now is not the time or place” and to “read the room.”

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise sent a scathing letter to Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, accusing him of producing a faulty report that deflected blame from his administration for thousands of coronavirus nursing home deaths.

“In addition to being dubious on its face, this conclusion was reached through a flawed methodology,” Scalise wrote to Cuomo on Thursday in a letter obtained by the Washington Examiner. “Disappointingly, it also casts aspersions on our heroic frontline nursing home workers in the process.”

Among the flaws, Scalise wrote, is the report’s claim that coronavirus patients readmitted into nursing homes from hospital treatment were no longer contagious.

“This assessment is fundamentally flawed from the outset because it only accounts for patient deaths in nursing home facilities and does not conclude potentially readmission-related deaths that occurred after nursing home patients were transported to hospitals,” Scalise wrote. “This flawed use of data incorrectly colors every assertion made in the report.”

Scrabble Players Call for Changes to Official Dictionary, Offensive Words Now Banned

The seven-letter word explains just where the Scrabble world has found itself as some words become too volatile for even Scrabble to use, according to Reuters.

Front and center is the so-called “N-word,” the saying of which is often equated with a “hate crime” in some jurisdictions.

The North American Scrabble Players Association has been debating how to best police the use of racist and homophobic terms in what is a collision with long-standing tradition, according to NASPA chief executive John Chew.

“We are told when we get for the first time to a Scrabble club or tournament that words have no meaning on a Scrabble board. Most people accept that without question,” he told Reuters.

But life is changing.

“Some people find they cannot accept … the ‘N-word’ being treated as though it has no meaning,” said Chew, who is Canadian. “Those people end up not being part of our community, which is the fundamental problem we’re trying to address.”

A decision on the matter was made this week by Hasbro, which has the rights to the game in North America.

Hasbro said in a news release Wednesday that the players association had “agreed to remove all slurs from their word list for Scrabble tournament play, which is managed solely by NASPA and available only to members.”

And Hasbro said it would amend the game’s official rules “to make clear that slurs are not permissible in any form of the game.”

“It is the right thing to do,” Chew added to The The New York Times.

“As people have said across the spectrum of responses, removing slurs is the very least that we can do to make our association more inclusive. I will be reaching out to the community with suggestions and for suggestions in coming months, and look forward to working with everyone to make our community a larger and happier one,” he said in a statement.

About 15,000 people in North America play competitive Scrabble, Chew said. Millions more play the game for fun.

“The game that Hasbro sells in retail stores has not included slurs in its dictionary since 1994. But the players association, one of the most prominent governing bodies in competitive Scrabble, had still allowed them. The agreement could also affect what words may be played in online versions of the game,” The Times reported.

“Technically, Hasbro has no control over the 192,111 playable words on the word list used by the players’ association, but it does license the organization to use the name Scrabble, and it is not eager to see slurs associated with its brand.”
