We know The Houston Mayor marched in the "Floyd Demonstrations - what about the Harris Count Judge Hidalgo? She has been a loud advocate for masks, lockdown etc.

So anyone digging on The Harris County Judge? She has an interesting background. Spoofy?

Not a lot of info about her or family. According to wiki she was born in Bogato Columbia in 1991. In 1996 her family left Columbia and moved to Peru then Mexico City until arriving in Houston in 2006.

After high school in Katy (Houston suburb) she won a Stanford Cap & Gown Centennial Scholarship (scholarship was established 2005) and was awarded a degree in political science in 2013. At this time she also received an award from the Stanford Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law for her thesis. Her thesis was entitled “Tianamen or Tahrir? A Comparative Study of Military Intervention Against Popular Protest” however efforts to access that document were unsuccessful.

Formed in 1982, Internews Network is a 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in California. The organization currently works in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Internews Network has projected revenues of $35 million for 2009.

Pierre Omidyar, the ebay founder best known for his sponsorship of The Intercept, a flashy progressive publication that possesses the classified documents exfiltrated by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. Unlike rival Silicon Valley billionaires Peter Thiel, Jeff Bezos, and Eric Schmidt, Omidyar has mostly managed to keep his influential role in media below the radar. And while he directs his fortune into many of the same politically strategic NGOs and media outlets that George Soros does in hotspots around the globe, he has never been subjected to the public scrutiny and often ugly attacks that dog Soros. And yet Samantha Power, the former U.S. ambassador to the UN and liberal interventionist guru, has explicitly praised Omidyar as someone who is following in the footsteps of Soros.

Does Judge Hidalgo & family have friends in high places? I wonder...
