Salesforce is a deceptive company that was set up to steal commercial data, health data and illegally collect business intelligence.
They have no real security on the customer data that they store. All of it is stored in tables in a standard relational database. For instance, every customer has their order data stored in the same order table with the only thing separating one customer from another being the salesforce ID column. Now the Salesforce tools and applications rigidly enforce the separation by including the Salesforce ID on every query. However, employees of the company can potentially have access to the data across ALL customers. So they could do a query on an individual finding out what health services/tests he gets and what products (including prescriptions) he buys across all customers of Salesforce. There is no way to know how many people have this kind of access because details are all hidden inside Salesforce.
If any of you have ever worked in IT in a large company then you will know that far more IT staff have access to confidential data than the management realizes.
