MOSCOW(Sputnik) - Last week, New York City painted "Black Lives Matter" in large yellow letters on Fifth Avenue directly outside the Trump Tower in Manhattan. Mayor Bill de Blasio, along with his wife Charlene McCray, helped to paint the letters between East 56th and 57th streets on Thursday.
An unknown person doused with red paint the letters of the large yellow inscription saying Black Lives Matter, which appeared last week on Fifth Avenue directly outside the Trump Tower in New York, with local authorities having already restored the inscription.

Latest Rasmussen Poll: Trump Ahead of Biden Among Male Voters
When Scott Rasmussen tried to explain the reasons behind Trump’s sudden jump in the polls among male voters, he suggested it was “a positive response … to the president’s speech at Mount Rushmore ….[with] many Republicans consider[ing] it a strong appeal to unity. The new numbers may also be partly in response … to media criticism of the president.”
The jump in quesdtion is significant. A month ago, according to Rasmussen’s polling, Biden led Trump among men by nine percent. In the Rasmussen poll taken last week, Trump now leads Biden by two points, a turnaround of 11 points in a month.

Former MS-13 Gang Leader in Queens Indicted for Murder in-Aid-of Racketeering
Defendant Allegedly Ordered the Killing of a Rival Gang Member
An indictment was unsealed today in federal court in Brooklyn charging Marcelo Esquivel with murder in-aid-of racketeering and causing death through the use of a firearm in connection with the fatal shooting of Daniel Licona-Gonzalez on July 2, 2012. At the time of the murder, Esquivel was the leader of the Centrales Locos Salvatruchas clique of La Mara Salvatrucha, also known as the MS-13, a transnational criminal organization, in Jamaica, Queens. Esquivel was arrested yesterday and will be arraigned this afternoon via teleconference before United States Magistrate Judge Roanne L. Mann.
Richard P. Donoghue, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, William F. Sweeney, Jr., Assistant Director-in-Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, New York Field Office (FBI), Peter C. Fitzhugh, Special Agent-in-Charge, Homeland Security Investigations, New York Field Office (HSI), and Dermot F. Shea, Commissioner, New York City Police Department (NYPD), announced the charges.
“As alleged, Esquivel ordered the murder of another human being in furtherance of the vicious code of the MS-13 gang, and the life of an 18-year-old man was ended by co-conspirators carrying out the defendant’s death wish,” stated United States Attorney Donoghue. “The Eastern District will continue to do everything possible to crush the MS-13 and Esquivel’s arrest sends a powerful message that the passage of time will not deter this Office and our law enforcement partners from investigating, prosecuting and holding accountable anyone who commits violent crimes on behalf of the gang.”

Top advisers to US President Donald Trump have ruled out undermining the Hong Kong dollar’s peg to the US currency as they seek to punish China for infringing on the city’s political freedoms, according to people familiar with the matter.
Aides at the White House and State department had weighed the possibility of limiting Hong Kong banks’ access to US dollars as a way of striking back at Beijing, Bloomberg News reported last week.
But they dropped the idea after advocates could not gather enough support, with those against the move concerned that it would be difficult to implement and could end up hurting the US, according to one of the people.
Tensions between the US and China have flared over issues ranging from the competition for military supremacy in the South China Sea to the handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Boeing 737 MAX cancellations top 350 planes in first half of 2020
Boeing Co (BA.N) customers canceled orders for 355 of its 737 MAX jets in the first half of 2020, the U.S. planemaker said on Tuesday, as the damage done by the jet’s grounding and the coronavirus crisis to the airline industry continued to mount.
The planemaker, which has now been striving to get its once best-selling MAX planes back in the air for more than a year after two fatal crashes led to its grounding, said airlines and leasing companies canceled another 60 orders for the jet last month.
Deliveries in the first half of the year also sank by 71% to just 70 planes as customers canceled or deferred shipments due to the collapse in air travel from coronavirus-led travel restrictions.
Deliveries are financially important to planemakers because airlines pay most of the purchase price when they actually receive the aircraft.
Boeing said it handed over 10 aircraft in June, up from four planes in May, and six jets in April. The company’s June deliveries include one 747, one 777, one KC-46 tanker, two 767 freighters, two P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft and three 787s.
